1, paragraph alignment.
Alignment refers to the distribution rules of paragraphs on the page, which is one of the most commonly set paragraph formats. Paragraph alignment in Word mainly includes left alignment, center alignment, right alignment, two-end alignment and scattered alignment. Their meanings are as follows.
Left Alignment: The paragraph is aligned with the left side of the page.
Center: The paragraph is aligned with the center of the page.
Right alignment: the paragraph is aligned with the right side of the page.
Alignment: Each line of a paragraph is aligned end to end in the page. When the font sizes between lines are different, Word will automatically adjust the character spacing.
Scattered alignment: Similar to double-ended alignment, paragraphs are scattered and aligned on the page, and the character spacing is automatically adjusted as needed. Compared with alignment, the biggest difference lies in the way the last line of a paragraph is handled. When the last line of a paragraph contains a lot of white space, scattered alignment will adjust the character spacing between the last lines of text, thus automatically filling the page.
2. Paragraph indentation.
In order to enhance the hierarchy of the document and improve readability, you can set an appropriate indentation for the paragraph. There are four indentation methods for paragraphs: left indentation, right indentation, first line indentation and hanging indent, and their meanings are as follows.
Left Indentation: refers to that the left margin of the whole paragraph is indented from the left side of the page.
Right Indentation: refers to that the right margin of the whole paragraph is indented from the right side of the page.
First line indentation: refers to the amount of indentation from the beginning of the 1 character in the first line of a paragraph to the left side of the page.
Hanging indent: refers to the indentation of other lines in a paragraph except the first line on the left side of the page.
