Questions related to the postgraduate entrance examination of industrial design and architectural design (200 points, please answer friends from related majors)
Architectural design is a very profound knowledge, which is easy to get started and difficult to master. It involves too much knowledge. It is difficult to understand its profound meaning without years or even a lifetime of practice. There is only a superficial external understanding of architecture, and the works are as light as water. Can only do some ordinary quantitative buildings. The structure is relatively simple. You major in construction engineering. Of course, it is better to start with the structure and construction, then have a preliminary perceptual and rational understanding of the building, and then develop in the direction of architectural design, which will be better. Of course, this is just my humble opinion. The key is to choose your own life.

The following is what my tutor said to the students before (very pessimistic)

——————————————————————————————————

It is often seen that many students majoring in architecture don't know their future careers, especially when compared with the careers of famous overseas masters. We always sigh that their hearts are higher than the sky, hehe! It is often seen that many people who don't know much about architecture in other majors want to re-read architecture across majors. Their hearts are commendable and their sincerity can be felt. What they want to say is that in most cases, "their ambitions will be confused"!

The reason for this is the following:

1. Most students majoring in architecture do not engage in scheme design after graduation.

When most people don't understand the situation, they think that they will definitely focus on scheme design in the future. The actual situation is just the opposite: five years after graduation, most architectural professionals are drawing construction drawings, and only a few are still doing scheme design; /kloc-graduated in 0/0, and only a few people still insist on doing scheme design. In scheme design, the elimination rate is generally as high as 90%!

Why? Because of the great pressure and competition in scheme design, the requirements for talents are extremely high! Generally, there are only two results in a scheme design project: win or lose! The winning scheme has to face a lot of long-term and continuous modifications, improvements and even directional changes! These two are just weaknesses that have not been strengthened in school design teaching! For example, schools grade students' homework, which is divided into three grades: high, medium and low, while society has only two results: accepting and not accepting the plan. For example, if students hand in their homework and grade, everything will be fine, and society must constantly modify the plan according to the owner's intention until the owner is satisfied. Because of this, most architecture graduates can't stand the blow of complete failure and endless revision, and finally give up the major of scheme design, which is far from the ideal at school, and choose the major of construction drawing design with relatively little risk.

Scheme bidding is more serious, because the success or failure of each bidding directly affects the reputation, popularity, attention and even persecution of designers.

Bidding includes internal bidding, multi-unit bidding, gunman bidding and invitation bidding. Either way, the scheme designer is mainly faced with ruthless competition of winning and losing again and again in his career. No matter who you are, where you graduated and how many times you won the bid, as long as you don't win the bid once, you will complain everywhere! The reason is simple: the cost is too high! The direct cost of a municipal tender is generally 1-65438+ 10,000 yuan, a provincial tender is generally10-500,000 yuan, and a national tender is generally 5-2 million yuan.

Just because the scheme designer is incompetent or willful, it will definitely make the designer's unit very sad! However, due to the failure of the scheme, there are no good projects in architectural construction drawing, structure, water supply and drainage, heating, air conditioning, electricity, budget and other majors. These professional designers are certainly unhappy. The psychological pressure of failed scheme designers can be imagined!

I once participated in a tender, and my plan won by a narrow margin. The one that came second drew an effect drawing close to 100, but in the end it got nothing. Think about the cost of this one. Although I won at that time, I really feel sad for the designer of that one! Generally speaking, as long as a scheme designer fails to win the bid for three consecutive times or his scheme is accepted by the direct owner, the designer's unit will consciously avoid the designer from participating in the scheme design or bidding, because the direct cost and reputation cost are too high! As a design unit in backward areas, most of them will leave their jobs after the talent training is mature, and they are unwilling to invest a lot of energy in training designers; As a design unit in advanced areas, because there is no shortage of reserve forces at all, it will not care about the careful training of a designer. In the end, due to the pressure and lack of care from all sides, designers who have been defeated repeatedly will rarely stand the test and fail again and again, but go abroad angrily or take the postgraduate entrance examination or go abroad. In the end, most people don't want to be construction drawing designers all their lives.

The influence of the owner is even more terrible! The level of the scheme designer depends entirely on the reputation of the owner. If a designer fails in a project, especially leaving a bad impression on the owner, then no matter how famous or unknown the designer is, the owner will intentionally or unintentionally spread the designer's "evil deeds" to people he knows. This "recognized" failure image will lead to the designer's long-term embarrassment in the area.

Imagine that you and the award-winning designer appear at the same time, and the owner naturally respects him like an emperor, but turns a blind eye to you. That feeling can't last for everyone!

The scheme design industry is like a tightrope industry. As long as it fails once, it is almost a complete failure, and the impact of a failure cannot be calmed down in the regional industry for at least three years. Unless you can really hold on, treat it with a normal heart or do your best with the mentality of "sorrowful soldiers will win"

Try hard and even participate in the scheme bidding at your own expense many times (many designers are ordered by the leaders not to participate in the bidding at unit cost because of too many failures). In the end, you really maintain a relatively high proportion of winning bids, thus standing out from the crowd and being accepted as a scheme designer by the society, thus beginning to face more frequent, intense and higher-level scheme competition, and it is still a ruthless win-lose competition!

Most people can't stick to it, especially poor basic skills, rigorous ability, competitive mentality, working methods, interpersonal relationships, self-study, empathy, consideration for owners, market awareness, cost awareness, return on investment awareness, advertising awareness, promotion ability, demonstration ability, expression ability, management ability, leadership ability, hardship ability and cooperation ability. And how can designers with so many abilities be the majority? !

Scheme design is actually divided into many kinds: conceptual scheme, planning scheme, design scheme, construction drawing scheme and so on. However, our school and society have not given scientific and correct understanding and treatment to the scheme design industry. Most students and other professionals who don't really enter this industry don't understand one thing: only a few bids have a reserve price, and that is the cost. Most bids have no cost at all, and you even have to buy bids. The bidding fee ranges from 5000-20000 yuan, which is non-refundable. Only the winning bidder can get the cost compensation. Most students and other professionals who don't really enter this industry don't understand one thing: because of the high cost of large-scale bidding (10-

2 million yuan), at the same time, most bidders attach importance to the so-called comprehensive qualifications of bidders (generally only Grade A or Grade A qualifications), and most of them are not allowed to participate in their own names, which directly leads to the difficulty for most China designers to participate in large-scale bidding. Of course, there is no so-called "master road"!

As it happens, the state does not stipulate that only scheme designers are designers, construction drawing designers are also called designers, and even drawing and tracing are called designers! In particular, registered architects do not examine the designer's scheme ability, so most people will naturally turn to the construction drawing design with less competitive pressure but greater "fame".

2. Construction drawing design is an extremely important work in architectural design!

Without accurate and rigorous construction drawing design, all scheme designs are castles in the air! Everyone knows this, which is also the reason why a large number of construction drawing designers are needed among architectural design practitioners, and the main reason why registered architects in China do not specially examine the ability of scheme design. It doesn't matter if the building doesn't look good, but if it collapses and doesn't work, something will happen! Scheme design is a spiritual category to a great extent, and spiritual civilization can only remain permanent on the basis of material civilization.

Therefore, don't mistake architecture for making floor plans, and 90% of people's tasks are making construction drawings!

Architectural design is to make wedding clothes for others, not to build monuments for yourself. For example, if you decorate your home and find a designer, the designer tells you that it must be implemented in full accordance with my design, otherwise I won't do it. Would you be happy to agree? Who wants to realize the ideal? ! Of course, if this designer is famous, you may agree. In most cases, you will naturally find this designer unreasonable! If your home is going to be decorated with 6,543,800 yuan, and the design made by this designer costs 500,000 yuan, including the design fee of 6,543,800 yuan, will you accept his design? How would you react if this designer teased you about "vulgarity" and "low cultivation"? !

For example, if you go to a restaurant and the chef cooks spicy Sichuan food for you, you can't eat spicy food yourself. If the chef says to you at this moment: Because I like spicy food! What will happen? Of course you will leave angrily and even talk to the boss! For example, if you are an entrepreneur, you have fought many battles in your career and established a group enterprise. Now you are looking for a designer to design an office building for your enterprise. As a result, the designer tells you that this design must be designed according to my intention, because you and your board members don't understand design-who wants Gai Lou? ! Will you entrust tens of millions or even hundreds of millions of office buildings or communities to a headstrong designer? !

Many students and other professionals who want to study architecture have such an unreasonable misunderstanding: they think that architectural design is an ideal career that can realize designers' own ideals. The most common words are: how wonderful it is to be able to design and build a building you like! How is that possible? ! Do you use tens of millions or even hundreds of millions of other people's funds to realize your favorite scheme? ! Once the building is built, it can't be sold, or it's not easy to use, it's not beautiful, it's not recognized, but you pat your ass and go to the next design. What should the owner do? ! How can we not let the owners have the right to decide? ! Don't forget, it is the owner who jumps off the building if the building can't be sold, and it is also the owner who bears the risk, but you don't want others to have the right to decide the plan! So in most cases, it is impossible to design and build a building you like! Designers before becoming famous are completely different from painters of the same period. Painters paint for themselves, thinking about their knowledge and understanding of the world when painting; Designers design for the owners, and what they do is to meet the comprehensive needs of the owners. Only when you become famous can you have some creative freedom, because looking for your master is the same as looking for Zhang Daqian to paint, and he will recognize whatever you do! So how many famous designers are there? I'm afraid the number of architectural design masters in the world is not as large as that of the world's heads of state combined! This is more difficult than the college entrance examination of "Thousands of troops crossing the wooden bridge"!

Entering the university is very simple, and you can study hard, but becoming a design master is a comprehensive matter, and even needs the care of environment, fate and chance!

Therefore, architecture is only a profession in 99% cases. Compared with other industries, although it is the best in this industry, this industry is relatively more difficult than relatively easy!

Therefore, we always like to say that architecture students who don't listen to the teacher's advice and practice their basic skills are "the pony pulls the cart too narrowly, and the eagle spreads its wings and hates the sky" and "the heart is higher than the sky, and the life will be thinner"!

Therefore, we always like to say that those students who are full of theories and proficient in architecture are "reeds on the wall, top-heavy and shallow; The bamboo shoots in the mountains are thick and empty! "

Therefore, we can only avoid the self-righteousness of so-called theorists who have not really participated in design practice for many years: what is a theory without practice test? !

Therefore, we can only smile bitterly at other professionals who envy architecture: your major is practical and profitable, so why come here? !

4. Design competition and design bidding are two professions.

Many famous designers are famous for winning prizes in one or several design competitions, which has aroused the admiration of most people and even thinks that these people are much better than the designers of design institutes.

In fact, design competition and design bidding are completely different majors, and there is basically no comparability! The reason is simple: the former is divided into several awards, even if it wins the masterpiece award, it is equally glorious; The latter can only win and lose, even if you are the second, you are still unsuccessful and unconsciously discriminated against! Only by indicating in the tender or tender documents that top players can get cost compensation can they not lose money completely. Often dozens of design companies bid, and only one wins the bid. Other companies can only grieve for their losses. By the way, their lives will be safe and their blood will be lost!

Therefore, if you have a good impression on architecture because you admire one or several celebrities who won prizes in the design competition, then I have to advise you to distinguish the great difference and professional essence between idealized competition and actual bidding!

Only when the actual goal is clear can we learn architecture well.

For students majoring in architecture: As long as you don't take the terrible and stressful goal of becoming a design master as your ideal, then your goal will be

Much more practical! Masters are formed by a lot of accumulation and opportunities, and the number of places is too small, hehe! Architects serve the people, and the people need a large number of responsible anonymous designers, whether making plans or construction drawings! For those who want to cross-major: if you don't have the foundation of learning design (such as painting, calligraphy, photography, etc.). ), if you are just a layman who knows the design industry, if you are not born to like the excitement of fierce and cruel competition, if you just want to be a construction drawing designer, please don't waste any more time learning architecture.

Architecture, like other industries, needs a lot of hard training and a lot of failure accumulation, and it needs a lot of practice accumulation to form a set of theories. Even a few successful people may appear after experiencing cruel competition and persistence!

I really appreciate this sentence: "I envy the thief for counting money, but I didn't see the thief being beaten!" " "

Translation 1: "The admired star won the prize, but I have never seen a star make many movies!"

Translation 2: "The worship of the master is successful, but I have never seen the master fail countless times!"
