The main problem is the exploration of color words by cultural differences between China and the West. Chinese and western cultures have a long history and are influenced by many factors, and there are great differences between them. Language is not a part of cultural division, so the linguistic differences of Chinese become a mirror of cultural differences between China and the West. Starting with color words, this paper explores the different cultural connotations of Xi and their causes, aiming to provide some ideas and examples for the comparison between Chinese and Western cultures, better understand Chinese and Western cultures, and promote the exchange between the two cultures. Because China is separated from most western countries in Wan Li, there are huge differences in geographical location, natural phenomena, historical background and aesthetic psychology, and people's feelings about color can't be expressed at all. The problem is divided into four aspects: (1) Introduction of language and cultural differences. (2) Give examples to illustrate the differences between red, white and hidden in the central and western regions. (3) Differences in color words during translation .. (3) Differences in color words during translation. Language is the carrier of culture, and translation is not only the transformation of language, but also the fax of culture. (4) Summarize the effects of color words in the cultural differences between China and the West and how we should avoid problems. The key and difficult point of the problem is the dislocation of symbolic meaning between English and Chinese color words in translation.
