① Reasonable selection of tool geometric parameters. Rake angle: Under the condition of keeping the cutting edge strength, the rake angle is properly selected to be large, which can grind a sharp cutting edge on the one hand, reduce cutting deformation on the other hand, make chip removal smooth, and then reduce cutting force and cutting temperature. Never use a negative rake cutter.
Relief angle: Relief angle has a direct impact on flank wear and machined surface quality. Cutting thickness is an important condition for selecting relief angle. In rough milling, due to the large feed, heavy cutting load and high calorific value, the tool is required to have good heat dissipation conditions, so the rake angle should be smaller. When finishing milling, the cutting edge is required to be sharp, so as to reduce the friction between the flank and the machined surface and reduce the elastic deformation. So the front corner is bigger.
Spiral angle: In order to make milling stable and reduce milling force, the spiral angle should be as large as possible.
Main deflection angle: properly reducing the main deflection angle can improve the heat dissipation condition and reduce the average temperature in the processing area.
