At present, the piano improvisational accompaniment ability of music teachers in primary and secondary schools in our province can be summarized as the following aspects. 1. Teachers with poor music foundation (1) have poor piano playing skills, or have not received formal training, and the most basic sound patterns of accompaniment, such as chords and transpositions, are not clear, so it is a problem to complete normal teaching tasks, let alone enrich the sound patterns of accompaniment. (2) Lack of theoretical knowledge such as keyboard harmony and musical form, lack of standardized design of chord progression, and even inaccurate tonality. The most basic I, IV and V levels of each size key on the keyboard are still very strange. In accompaniment, the left hand only plays octaves or monosyllables with the melody, and does not use harmony to set off the rich melody effect. (3) The accompaniment sound type is not well mastered or used improperly. The ability to distinguish and use different genres of songs is poor, so we should pay attention to the importance of piano accompaniment in music classes in primary and secondary schools.

However, in the actual operation process, 10% of teachers think that the operation is very difficult, and this effect will not affect the teaching effect. This involves the improvement of teachers' teaching ability, teaching methods and teaching effect.
2. Teacher problem
(1) Teachers have a heavy workload. School teachers and students are not in direct proportion. Each teacher has 20-25 classes a week, which does not include weekly extracurricular tutoring.
(2) Teachers' academic qualifications and professional titles are not satisfactory.
(3) Because the overall teaching level of teachers is uneven, most teachers' professional basic skills are biased. Some teachers can play or not sing, some teachers can sing or not play, and some teachers can play and jump. Most teachers' improvisational accompaniment ability is poor and needs to be improved.
