Civil servants may not be dismissed from public office after criminal detention, and those who are investigated for criminal responsibility may be dismissed. Criminal detention is a compulsory method for public security organs and people's procuratorates to temporarily deprive criminals or major suspects of their personal freedom in case of legal emergency during investigation. Criminal detention must meet two conditions at the same time: first, the object of detention is a flagrante delicto or a major suspect. An active criminal refers to a person who is committing a crime, and a major suspect refers to a person who has evidence to prove that he is suspected of a major crime.

A person who has obtained a degree has one of the following circumstances in the process of obtaining a degree. After deliberation and decision by academic degree evaluation committee, the degree-granting unit revokes the degree, withdraws or declares the degree certificate invalid:

1. There are serious academic misconduct such as plagiarism, forgery, plagiarism, data fraud, etc. in the dissertations or practical achievements, and the quality is not up to standard;

2. Obtaining the admission qualification or graduation certificate by any improper means, such as impersonation or favoritism;

3. There are other illegal acts that should not be awarded degrees during the study period.
