Nature:RNA new technology for capturing RNA advanced structure interaction-RIC sequence
RIC sequence (seq) is a world-leading original innovative technology, which was developed by Xue of Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and can capture the in-situ advanced structure and intermolecular interaction sites of RNA. Related research results were published online in Nature in May 2020 [1].

RIC- sequence technology has important application value, which can be used to systematically describe the global RNA interaction map in cells, especially the interaction network between hadron and promoter, and reveal the advanced structure and target of specific RNA.

In medical research, RIC- sequence analysis technology can be used to systematically analyze the influence of gene mutation on RNA advanced structure and target, reveal the pathogenic mechanism of non-coding region mutation, and lay a foundation for clinical diagnosis and treatment of related diseases. In virus research, RIC sequence can be used to analyze the structure of viral RNA, which has broad application prospects for virus infection mechanism and the development of antiviral drugs.

The transformation and application of RIC-seq technology will further enrich the product line of medical epigenetics, and combine it with HiChIP technology (DNA-DNA interaction) and RADICL-seq technology (RNA-DNA interaction) for innovation, which will strongly promote the development of biomedical research in China to a higher dimension and deeper level, and serve the national grand strategy of "healthy China".
