"Broken-hearted people" are the idle class we see in this play, who are indecisive and have no ability to act and will only indulge in love fantasies. On the contrary, the "horse trainer" is an actor with a clear goal. They are strong, energetic, capable and motivated. Therefore, they will never sit in the room and talk nonsense or talk nonsense about love in order to be heartbroken like "heartbreak". The Horse Trainer should be the hero of Lu Xun and Tolstoy's works. If the iron house is on fire, even if they know it is impossible, they will try their best to come up with a solution with action as the life index. However, the "horse trainer" in our play can't say anything smart and wise in the population. They don't even like literature and art very much, and they don't do philosophical meditation. As Bernard Shaw said, those "horse trainers" will start to doze off after listening to a little Schubert's music. From this point of view, these active and outgoing "horse trainers" do not seem to be the ideal in Bernard Shaw's mind. While describing the "horse trainer" as capable and enterprising, Bernard Shaw still shows his attachment to the "heartthrob".
The two poles in the field of life later became the core of hannah arendt's philosophical exposition, which she divided into action life and silent life. The former pays attention to public affairs, while the latter devotes himself to the private spiritual field. Arendt's book [〔TheHumanCondition〕] focuses on the former, while Spiritual Life discusses the latter.
Bernard Shaw's play The Broken Heart Room, written in 19 19, is very popular in the United States. It was staged in theaters in new york, Seattle and Cleveland. St. Louis Theatre also took this play as the opening play in 2008-07. The sudden importance of this play is probably related to the current situation that the United States is deeply involved in the Iraq war, because Broken Heart House has always been regarded as the most anti-war among all Bernard Shaw's plays.
