This book is divided into six main parts. The first part explains what finance is, briefly introduces the financial system, and describes the structure and application of the company's financial statements. The second, third and fourth parts respectively expound the three theoretical pillars of finance, focusing on how finance is applied to family and enterprise decision-making. The fifth part is the theory and practice of asset pricing, explaining the capital asset pricing model and analyzing the pricing of contingent claims such as futures, options, high-risk corporate bonds, loan guarantees and leveraged financing. The sixth part describes the company's financial problems: capital structure, mergers and acquisitions, options analysis of investment opportunities.
The general introduction of this book introduces the comparative basis and uses many examples to illustrate how theory works in financial decision-making. For a part-time professional student, I can't read this book thoroughly, but it is necessary to know the basic knowledge in this field. Financial markets in a broad sense include securities markets, money markets, various forms of banks, savings institutions, investment funds, insurance markets and so on. China's market economy has developed for such a long time that we can't avoid dealing with the economy in our daily life. Knowing some financial common sense can help us better understand this society.
