The Department of Stomatology of Xi 'an Medical College is developed from the Department of Clinical Medicine of Shaanxi Medical College. Stomatology was established in 2002, and enrollment began in the same year. After several years of construction and development, stomatology was established in September 2005. At present, there are 656 students (including junior college students) majoring in stomatology (undergraduate and junior college students) and stomatology technology (oral technology direction). With the development of the school, the Department of Stomatology has been developing and expanding, and has gradually determined the clear guiding ideology and thinking of running a school, initially formed a professional system integrating teaching, scientific research and medical treatment, and formed a multi-professional and multi-level training mode for applied talents.

After solid teaching practice and exercise, stomatology has trained a group of high-quality teaching and scientific research backbones, and is a teaching team with reasonable academic level and professional title structure. Full-time teachers 18, including 6 full-time and associate professors, 8 lecturers and 4 teaching assistants. 4 experimental technicians; Among the full-time teachers, 85% have a master's degree or above. The Stomatology Experimental Center is equipped with basic oral laboratory, comprehensive oral skills training room, prosthodontics laboratory and oral clinical demonstration classroom, with a total area of1.200m2.. There are more than 300 sets of equipment, among which the dental clinical teaching simulation system has reached the domestic advanced level, and the number of equipment can accommodate 42 students for practical operation at the same time, so that students can complete the basic training of oral clinical operation skills in the school and ensure that stomatology specialty can provide practical operation for students. Adhering to the joint running of colleges and universities is the idea that the school has been exploring and developing in recent years. Through hard work, the Department of Stomatology has established a teaching and training base in cooperation with more than 20 stomatological hospitals and dental technician processing centers (factories), ensuring the needs of teaching and graduation practice in various majors. At the same time, the Stomatological Center is actively preparing, which will provide a good teaching and training platform for cultivating high-quality stomatological professionals.

Stomatology has formed a multi-disciplinary and multi-level training mode of stomatology and stomatology technical personnel, insisting on stomatology as the main body and strengthening the technical characteristics of stomatology. Stomatology has continuously strengthened scientific research and actively carried out educational reform activities. Teachers of all majors have participated in scientific research projects and educational reform activities, and the level and level of teaching and scientific research achievements have been continuously improved.
