Yan (1949—), male, Han nationality, professor, expert in English history research. Cheng Wu, a native of party member, 1976 graduated from the History Department of Henan University, and has been working in this department ever since. 1978- 198 1 in-service postgraduate study in modern world history, master's degree. He is currently Dean of the School of History and Culture of Henan University, Director of China Historical Society, Vice President of China Modern History Research Association, Vice President and Secretary General of China Modern History Research Association, and Vice President of China British History Research Association. Yan's teaching effect is very good, and she won the first prize of excellent teaching in Henan University for many times. In scientific research, Yan has been engaged in the teaching and research of modern world history and British history for many years, focusing on the history of British political system. He published 4 academic monographs and won the first and second prizes of provincial scientific research for 6 times. He has published four monographs: The Political History of British Political Parties, The History of British Political System, The History of British Aristocracy and A Brief History of Britain, and co-authored The Forgotten Frontier.
He has published more than 40 academic papers in historical studies, world history, Western European studies and other journals, including 8 in national journals. Among them, The Long-term Continuation of the Political Power of Modern British Aristocrats was published in the fourth issue of Historical Studies 199 1, and was published by Xinhua Digest1. Yan's published articles and monographs have high academic value.
