1. Double-click to open your paper. The page number format of our paper is shown in the figure. There are no page numbers on the cover and catalog pages, and the page numbers are coded from the page where the text is located.

2. First, pull the page to the third page, which is the first page of the text.

3. Then click "Insert" at the top of the page, and click "Page Number" to indicate that you want to insert the page number.

4. Click "Page Number" below to customize the page number.

5. Select the appropriate page number style and position in the page number setting. Generally, the page number style is "1, 2,3 ...", the position is "low-end center", and the starting page number in the page number is 1, which means that the page number is coded from 1.

6. The next important step is to select "this page and beyond" in the application range, which is why you should pull the paper to the third page before inserting the page number and click OK.
