As an important link between school physical education and social physical education, college physical education plays a very important role in students' lifelong education. Therefore, it is necessary to establish lifelong sports consciousness in college physical education teaching. As the main place to cultivate students' lifelong sports concept, colleges and universities shoulder important responsibilities. However, there are various problems in college physical education teaching at this stage. How to explore effective methods to solve these problems in college physical education teaching and establish lifelong physical education consciousness has become a major challenge for colleges and universities.
First, the concept of lifelong sports and its relationship with college sports
(A) the origin of lifelong sports
The concept of lifelong sports was first put forward by the French educator Paul lengrand in his book Introduction to Lifelong Education in 1960s. The concept of lifelong sports came into being in China in 1980s. Compared with foreign theories, China's lifelong sports started late and its experience is not rich enough.
(B) the concept of lifelong sports
For lifelong sports, sports theory experts at home and abroad have different definitions. Foreign sports theory experts tend to define lifelong sports as people's persistent acceptance of physical education and physical exercise throughout their lives. The meaning of lifelong physical education is divided into two aspects: on the one hand, lifelong physical education, as a behavior mode, means that people receive physical education all their lives, persist in physical exercise, improve their physical fitness and enthusiasm for sports during physical exercise, and make long-term, effective and appropriate exercise plans according to their own physique; On the other hand, lifelong sports, as an idea, refers to the influence of people on their lifelong sports behavior by establishing their awareness and belief in lifelong sports. Domestic sports theory experts define it as: lifelong sports means that people can establish lifelong sports consciousness in their later study and life after receiving staged physical education, and exercise for a long time, so that sports can accompany them all their lives. Lifelong physical education is the innovation and progress of lifelong education theory, and it is the innovative achievement of lifelong education theory applied to physical education. The goal of lifelong physical education is to enable students to cultivate their enthusiasm for physical education, enhance their physical fitness, cultivate their awareness of lifelong physical education, and enable students to truly master the skills and methods of physical exercise and cultivate their habits of physical exercise in different stages of physical education in primary schools, middle schools and universities. After leaving school and entering the society, they can apply the skills and methods of physical exercise they learned at school, keep exercising and further strengthen their physique. They should also have the ability to organize and judge social sports activities, so that sports can accompany them all their lives.
(C) the relationship between lifelong physical education and college physical education
College physical education is the highest and final stage for students to receive physical education at school, and it is also the transitional stage from school physical education to social physical education. Therefore, at this stage, we should do a good job in the connection between college sports and social sports. University is the most important place to cultivate students' lifelong sports concept. The establishment of facilities, events and courses of college physical education fully takes into account the social sports after the school comes out. Generally, there are careful time plans and course intensity arrangements, which will have a positive effect on cultivating students' sports enthusiasm, mastering the skills and knowledge of physical exercise and establishing the concept of lifelong physical education. Therefore, college physical education is the last stage of school physical education and the previous stage of social physical education. It connects school sports and social sports, and the success or failure of its physical education will directly affect students' physical exercise in the future. Therefore, doing well in college physical education is the premise and guarantee of lifelong physical education.
Second, the status quo of lifelong physical education in colleges and universities

In the practice of implementing quality education in an all-round way, various sports activities have made great progress, and life-long sports in physical education have also made certain achievements.
1. Diversified courses
Since the implementation of lifelong physical education, Chinese colleges and universities have further enriched the sports in the physical education curriculum, and added bodybuilding, Tai Ji Chuan, Chinese Wushu, Taekwondo, gymnastics and other sports on the basis of traditional sports such as basketball, football and volleyball. The newly added sports events further satisfy students' sports hobbies, which is conducive to improving students' sports enthusiasm and participation.
2. Flexible teaching methods
College physical education teaching avoids the traditional compulsory curriculum arrangement, and does not consider students' physical differences and sports interests. It adopts the way of students' independent choice of physical education courses, which greatly considers the differences of students' physique and satisfies students' interests. Students' choice of sports that they are interested in is also conducive to improving classroom enthusiasm and teachers' teaching efficiency. Students can master sports skills and methods more easily and efficiently by gathering with classmates with the same sports hobbies through self-selected physical education courses, and they can also learn skills and exchange experiences with classmates after class, which will further improve the teaching effect of physical education courses.
3. Rich community activities
With the further development of quality education, there are more and more club activities in colleges and universities, including more and more clubs related to sports activities, which are more and more abundant and innovative. These clubs, such as skateboarding, street dancing, roller skating, billiards, boxing, aerobics and so on. Enrich students' sports life and further cultivate their interest and ability in sports. By participating in these club activities, students can further improve their sports skills in various competitive competitions, and also improve their organization and coordination ability in organizing these club activities, which is very beneficial to their sports practice after entering the society. In addition, in the club, students can meet many students who have the same sports hobbies as themselves, which is of great significance to improve their sports level.
(2) Problems to be solved
1. Not paying enough attention to lifelong sports.
At present, the awareness of lifelong physical education in colleges and universities in China is generally weak. The main reasons for this phenomenon are as follows: First, physical education teachers, as an important role in physical education teaching, still adopt traditional teaching methods and single teaching means. In physical education teaching, teachers only pay attention to imparting sports skills, and the teaching content is only aimed at the examination scope. The teaching method is relatively simple, which can not stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning and participating in physical education teaching. In addition, teachers only pay attention to the physical education part of school education, but ignore the importance of lifelong sports, which leads to lifelong sports not being paid due attention. Secondly, students have no correct attitude towards physical education. Some students think that it is enough to enter the university to study professional knowledge, and they don't pay attention to physical education at all. They don't take physical education class as a regular course. Their participation in physical education class was entirely out of a casual and careless attitude. Some male students are addicted to the internet and games and don't take physical exercise for a long time. Female students worry about weight gain all day, are afraid of hardship and fatigue, and are unwilling to take part in physical exercise, so they use dieting to control their weight, which leads to malnutrition and poor physical quality.
2. Incomplete infrastructure
Some universities don't pay much attention to sports, or don't really understand the concept and significance of lifelong sports. In order to save school funds, sports funds are cut or squeezed in teaching activities, which makes sports infrastructure construction incomplete, and even some sports courses cannot be carried out because of incomplete infrastructure or insufficient funds. Physical education infrastructure is the material basis and guarantee for developing physical education curriculum. Incomplete infrastructure will inevitably lead to some physical education teaching needs of teachers and students not being met. The basic requirements can't be met, let alone sports interests, hobbies and lifelong sports. This will seriously affect the quality of physical education in colleges and universities, so that lifelong physical education can not be really implemented.
3. The evaluation mechanism needs to be improved.
At present, when evaluating students' sports level, most colleges and universities only pay attention to whether the students' sports skills in relevant courses meet the standards, and take the sports examination results as the only assessment standard, while ignoring whether the students have improved their sports enthusiasm, strengthened their physical fitness, mastered the skills and methods of physical exercise, and established the concept of lifelong sports. This is an unreasonable and unscientific performance that only pays attention to the results and ignores the process. Because of the differences in students' physical qualities, some students have better physical qualities in the process of participating in physical education teaching, so they can master sports skills faster and may achieve excellent results in physical education examinations with little effort. On the contrary, some students' own systems are weak or their physical education level is not high. Maybe they worked hard and didn't do well in the physical education exam. Therefore, it is unfair to only take the results of physical education examination as the evaluation standard, which is not conducive to teachers to know the students' mastery of physical education knowledge in real time and teach students in accordance with their aptitude.
Third, solutions and countermeasures
(A) establish a "lifelong sports awareness".
1. Pay more attention.
As the leader of physical education and an important practitioner of lifelong sports, teachers must start from themselves, pay more attention to lifelong sports and establish a lifelong sports concept. We should do a good job of positive education and guidance for students, and take various forms to make students truly understand the connotation and significance of lifelong sports, and promote them to strengthen physical exercise and form the concept of lifelong learning.
2. Improve teaching methods and enrich teaching methods.
On the basis of satisfying students' own development and social needs, college physical education courses should focus on stimulating students' thirst for knowledge, so that students can really be diligent and willing to exercise. Teachers should change the single rigid teaching method, and organize games and interesting sports competitions or activities to enable students to learn knowledge and master skills in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Teachers should also pay attention to the vividness of language when explaining knowledge and the beauty of action when demonstrating actions. In addition, teachers should affirm and praise students' progress and enhance their learning confidence. Students who are slow to learn must not be cynical, but should be given more attention and help.
3. Cultivate the habit of physical exercise
College physical education should not only be responsible for students' physical education at school, but also teach students correct exercise methods and skills, cultivate their habit of lifelong exercise, and benefit students for life. It is a long process to form the habit of physical exercise. During this period, schools should create a good atmosphere for students, teachers should encourage students to participate in physical exercise to the maximum extent, students should fully realize the importance of forming physical exercise habits, and gradually form physical exercise habits from daily life.
(2) improve infrastructure construction
Colleges and universities should pay more attention to sports, and cannot cut or crowd out sports funds at will. Communicate with education authorities, apply for special funds, and improve infrastructure construction. Meet the needs of teachers and students for sports infrastructure to the maximum extent, constantly improve the infrastructure, and introduce advanced sports teaching instruments and equipment to provide support for sports teaching activities.
(3) Establish and improve the assessment mechanism.
Only by establishing a scientific and reasonable evaluation mechanism can colleges and universities truly grasp the students' physical education level and improve the next teaching plan according to its degree. Colleges and universities can't take grades as the only assessment standard, but should pay attention to students' performance and changes in the process of physical education, and bring students' interest in sports, physical fitness, enthusiasm and initiative in participating in physical education into the assessment mechanism, so that the assessment mechanism can reflect students' psychology, body, technical level and sports consciousness in the whole process of physical education. For students of different levels, schools can consider adopting different assessment standards. Teachers should teach students in accordance with their aptitude and give personalized physical education guidance with students as the main body.
