Zhou Jun's contribution
Zhou Jun led his assistants and students to systematically study the phytochemistry of phenols, steroids, terpenoids, glycoconjugates, alkaloids, cyclic peptides and other genera in China 10, such as FAGACEAE, Dioscoreaceae, Ginseng, Rhizoma Paridis, Radix Cynanchi Multiflori, Gastrodia elata, Aconitum and Dianthus, and combined the above phytochemistry with plant phylogeny and plant geographical distribution, 65,430 were found. The research results of natural drugs have been used in production for a long time (such as diosgenin, colchicine, gastrodin and Gongxuening of Dioscorea zingiberensis), and these researches are full of academic significance and remarkable social and economic benefits. The representative research work is as follows: 196 1 year. In the practice of popularizing woody grain, oil and food, he and his colleagues published "On the accumulation of useful substances in plants and their genetic relationship: the distribution law of tannins in Zelkova schneideriana" in the fifth issue of Yunnan Academic Research, which was officially published in China. From 65438 to 0959, the country urgently needed to synthesize steroid hormones and domestic raw materials of diosgenin, the raw material of contraceptives. Zhou Jun and others undertook this task. Finally, the chemical composition and distribution of diosgenin in Dioscorea plants in China were studied at 1959 ~ 1963. It was found for the first time that Dioscorea zingiberensis, Dioscorea tricuspidata and Dioscorea zingiberensis were ideal raw materials for synthesizing steroid hormones. 1962, he and Wu Zhengyi proposed for the first time at a natural product chemistry seminar held by Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry that the rhizome group of Dioscorea is the most promising group to find diosgenin in China and even in the world. This inference has been proved by long-term production practice, and won the outstanding achievement award of the Academy of Sciences in 1964 and the scientific conference award of cooperation with Jiangsu Institute of Botany in 1978. 1962- 1964 completed the research on the chemical industry and production technology of Shā rotto Katakuri, a domestic resource of colchicine, which passed the acceptance and put into production in Kunming Pharmaceutical Factory on 1973. 1975, Zhou Jun, Wu Mingzhu, Yang Chongren, Feng and Wu Zhengyi published "Study on the Relationship between Triterpenoids of Ginseng and Classification System and Geographical Distribution", which revealed for the first time that the chemical composition of Panax notoginseng was similar to that of Panax ginseng and Panax quinquefolium. In terms of plant morphology, the rhizomes of Ginseng, Panax quinquefolium and Panax notoginseng are erect rhizomes, and their chemical constituents are not affected by geographical distribution. Another group of plants of the genus Panax, such as Panax japonicus, Panax japonicus and Panax pinnatifida, have procumbent rhizomes, and their saponins are mainly oleanane saponins, which have low medicinal value, and their chemical composition and plant morphology are related to geographical distribution. This research achievement was adopted by the people of China, China Pharmacopoeia and pharmaceutical academic circles, which clarified the confusion in the research of Panax plants, thus promoting the research, development and utilization of Panax notoginseng and Panax plants. From 1978 to 1980, Zhou Jun, Yang Chongren successively published five papers on the chemical constituents of Gastrodia elata and its genus and the synthesis of gastrodin. The synthetic gastrodin has been used up to now, and its synthetic intermediate has good activity. Similar to the above research, on the basis of studying the steroid glycochemistry of Araliaceae C2 1 genus and cooperating with taxonomists, he proposed that the composition of fine-rooted plants in Araliaceae is different from that of coarse-rooted plants, and the name of Araliaceae should be restored, which was quickly accepted by plant taxonomists at home and abroad. In this way, the common names of Cynanchum atratum, Cynanchum atratum and Xu Changqing in the new Pharmacopoeia must be modified accordingly. Similarly, the study on the distribution law of oil plants in China has not been found at home and abroad. During the period of 1988, Zhou Jun and Lv Chunchao published some ideas about developing the potential superior biological resources in Yunnan. He was the first scientist to put forward suggestions on the utilization and protection of Chinese yew plant resources, which were adopted and implemented by the province and the country.
