Storage arrangement principle
The principles of storage arrangement include clearly identifying storage locations, effectively locating commodities and updating records in time.

1. Clearly mark the storage location.

First, divide the storage areas through detailed planning and number them, so that every pre-stored commodity has a place to store it. The specific location of storage space must be clearly defined, and vague boundaries (such as aisles, upstairs, corners or next to a commodity) will lead to confusion in storage space management.

Many distribution centers often use aisles as storage areas. Although it is convenient in the short term, it will affect the operation in the warehouse in the long term, which violates the basic requirements of storage allocation.

2. Effective positioning of commodities

According to the different storage methods of goods, we should determine the appropriate storage units, storage strategies, distribution rules and other factors that need to be considered for each type of inventory, and put the goods into the pre-prepared storage space reasonably.

For example, refrigerated items should be placed in the cold storage, fast-moving items should be placed near El, washing powder should not be placed with biscuits, cigarettes should not be placed with perfume, and so on.

3. Update records in time

When the goods arrive as planned, the next step is to maintain the storage space. When the position or quantity of goods changes due to shipment, elimination or other factors, it is necessary to record the situation before and after the change in time and accurately, so that the inventory records are completely consistent with the actual quantity.

Method of storage allocation:

1, manual distribution

Manual allocation of cargo holds means that managers allocate cargo holds according to their experience. Because of the knowledge and experience of managers, their efficiency will vary from person to person. The advantage of this distribution method is that the input cost of equipment such as L:Li-T- computer is low. However, its disadvantages are low distribution efficiency, high error rate and a lot of manpower.

2. Computer Aided Distribution

This method of space allocation is to collect space information by graphic monitoring system, and display the space usage, and provide it to the space distributor for real-time inquiry, which provides reference for space allocation. Finally, the cargo hold allocation instruction is issued manually.

3, computer automatic distribution

This is the use of graphic monitoring warehouse management system and various modern information technologies (bar code scanner, wireless communication equipment, network technology, computer system, etc. ) collect the relevant information of the cargo space, and directly complete the cargo space allocation after computer analysis, and the whole operation process does not need manual allocation. This is a modern way of commodity distribution.

In a word, computer-aided distribution and computer-automatic distribution are the first choice for automated warehouses, because they are not affected by human factors, with low error rate and high efficiency. Of course, equipment investment and maintenance costs are also high.
