Zhao's academic works
He is the author of Outline of China's Philosophy History, General History of China's Thought History (co-authored with Hou Wailu and others), New Exploration of the Analects of Confucius, and Confusion Record. Published more than 20 papers and 5 monographs/kloc-0, with more than 3 million words.

1938 published the Outline of China's Philosophy History, which is a unique book in China to study the history of China's philosophy with Marxist theory. A New Exploration of the Analects of Confucius, published by 1962, was the most vigorous and cherished work before his death, and was translated and published in the United States, Japan and other countries. In addition, Zhao's works, such as China's Philosophical Thought, A Brief History of China's View of Knowing and Doing, Philosophical Talk and Philosophical Outline, are all examples of the combination of Marxist historical view and philosophical insight.

The inheritance was arranged by his wife Li Shenyi and his son Zhao. After 1982, 22 unpublished manuscripts were published in journals. 1982 September, the first volume of Zhao Wen Ji was published by Henan People's Publishing House, which contained the Outline of China's Philosophy History. 1985 10 this anthology is published in two volumes, including a brief history of China's theory of knowing and doing and a review of Zhang Taiyan's philosophical thoughts. 199 1 April, the Anthology was published in three volumes, including Logic History of Pre-Qin Dynasty (Zhao's essays were edited by Li Shenyi) and China's atheistic materialism (Li Shenyi was edited by the first four volumes of General History of China Thought); 199 1 In May, Zhonghua Book Company published Two Records of Sleeping Knowledge, which is divided into eight chapters of Eleventh Two and three chapters of China's Theory of Power. The publication of four volumes of Collected Works was put on hold for some reasons, including three books: Essentials of Philosophy, Criticism of Ancient Confucian Philosophy and China's Philosophical Thought. Five books count 6,543,800 words. Three books (730,000 words in total) published after liberation, A New Exploration of the Analects of Confucius, A Record of Confusion and About Confucius Punishing Shao Zhengmao, were not included in this anthology.
