Because you thought about those crimes again, and you committed them again. Didn't I tell you not to commit them again? You made it again, the body didn't, the mouth didn't, the body didn't, and the mind did. I didn't worship Buddha there! You did it with your mouth and your mind. I told you not to reproduce it. Why did you do it? Many people repent every day. Not only do they not repent, but every time they repent, their sins increase, and every time they repent, they increase again. This crime is serious! There is no way, so what is the correct confession? Well, let's see how Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and ancestors taught us to repent correctly.

1, confession

Let's look at the background first.

There are two kinds of confessions: practicing confessions and taking photos. To practice repentance is to say one's sins and repent according to the prescribed practice. Those who break the precepts first tell the monks what they have broken, and then after a certain repentance ceremony, they can eliminate their sins, and the hearts of those who break the precepts will be clean again, and they will no longer worry about breaking the precepts. This is the practice of repentance and elimination of sin. The confession of spiritual practice is especially important for those who hold the precepts. Judging from the provisions of the precepts, the crime of breaking the precepts can only be eliminated by repentance. Although repentance can eliminate abstinence, it can't eliminate annoyance, and annoyance should be eliminated by confession. To learn from the scriptures is to expose the bad karma made in the past in front of the Buddha and Bodhisattva statue, and then blame yourself and worship Buddha and Bodhisattva regardless of the hard work before you can see Ruixiang. After seeing Ruixiang, the body and mind will be clean and comfortable, there will be no worries and guilt, and the bad karma created in the past will be eliminated. Article 41 of the Brahma Outline says: "Anyone who breaks the Ten Commandments should be taught to repent. In front of the Buddha and Bodhisattva statue, at six o'clock day and night, recite ten heavy and forty-eight light precepts. If you go to the ceremony of three thousand buddhas, you will look good; If we meet on the 17th, 2nd, 3rd, 7th or even a year. " Those who are kind to each other, Buddha comes to the top, sees the light and shines, and all kinds of differences are eliminated. "This is a confession. Learning from the scriptures can eliminate the crime of annoyance without destroying the ignorance of Taoism in obstacles. Ignorance without beginning depends on ignorance without life. This belongs to the principle, and we will talk about it later.

Repentance can eliminate troubles, purify karma, eradicate bad karma, develop the bright self, meditate on the wisdom before the present, and obtain the purification method. Its power cannot be declared in a word, and it can only be truly taken care of by personal practice. It is precisely because of the extraordinary victory of confession and its irreplaceable role that it has become a symbol of the salvation of all beings in the last law, so all previous generations have formulated various confession ceremonies, such as the confession of pharmacists, the confession of Fahua, the confession of Fang and others, the confession of Liang Huangbao, the confession of saints robbing thousands of buddhas, and the confession of compassionate three-flavor water scenic spots.

Students, you can choose your peers to practice hard. In fact, the Buddha in our morning class is also a kind of repentance. Please help us repent together. I don't know if you have noticed, when you are reading prose, have you ever thought: "... karma can't be repented without Buddha's power ..." Master Wu Da said: "When people talk about penitents, they should turn from evil to good. Who can live in this world without fault? When an economist loses his mind, he still feels troubled. Lohan learned his habits and started his career. How can he be an ordinary person and innocent? However, a wise man can repent when he first realizes, but a fool hides it and makes it grow, so he learns it all night and realizes it endlessly. " If you can be ashamed and express repentance, you will not only eliminate your sins, but also increase your infinite merits and erect the miraculous fruit of Tathagata Nirvana. "Evil karma, such as darkness, can only be removed by light. However, some people are unwilling to report their pain and expose themselves. If they want to put out the darkness, they have to seal the doors and windows and put out the lights, so it can only be darkness. Only by opening the door of revelation and introducing the light of repentance can we eliminate karma. In the scripture, the Buddha rebuked 500 hungry ghosts in Yan Guangcheng and said, "When you created evil karma, you were not ashamed and afraid, but now you are ashamed to meet people. "It is true that many ordinary people are so bold when they do bad things, but when they expose their crimes, they are timid and fearful, for fear that others will know that they will have a bad reputation and face difficulties in the future. So they are afraid of wolves and tigers, and they can't show any courage and repent of all kinds of evil deeds. It's like taking a strong dose of medicine and then dying. A good doctor can easily make them vomit, but if he falls into a cesspit alone, he should hurry to get ashore and wash it immediately. The longer he stays in the pool, the more polluted it is, and the harder it is to wash. If the same sin is not repented immediately, it will snowball every day. " Mahayana's "Viewing the Classics from the Heart" said: "If you repeat the crime, the crime will increase. If you show repentance, the crime will disappear. "On the other hand, if we don't disclose, others don't know anything? Of course not. If people don't know, they have to do it themselves. When we started our business, all people with eyes and ears, all Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and teachers and friends could see clearly, just like watching the opposite fire. Ghosts and gods are pointing curses at us, and the teachers of Buddha and Bodhisattva are all sorry for us, but we still show dignity. Just like a wise man who is naked and ashamed in public, how can he feel at ease and sleep well? Buddha said that boasting purity after breaking the precepts will increase obstacles and lead to deceptive mistakes. If a person breaks the precepts, Luo Cha immediately tells Luo Cha that Luo Cha is empty, and the empty Luo Cha reaches the four heavenly kings, and his notoriety soon spreads all over the world. If you show no emotion and don't repent, if a person gets into the poisonous snake in his arms and he is not careful, he will ignore others' advice to shake it out quickly, and finally die of poisoning, so those who don't want to repent are the same, just hurting themselves. Even if you disguise yourself well now and go to Yan Luowang after your death, the scenes of committing crimes before your death are like showing a movie. This is a bad drama that you wrote, directed and acted, and it was completely filmed by your video recorder. Now it's your turn to enjoy it. At that time, no matter how to deny, Yan Luowang will not be polite. Therefore, now we should disregard all vanity and reputation, get up the courage, expose ourselves frankly in front of teacher Sambo's protector, and beg for sadness and repentance. " Karma Sutra says: "If you commit a felony, you will blame yourself, and if you repent, you will be able to pull out the fundamental sin. "

Repentance requires five minds and four powers.

Now that we know some ways to repent, how can we be diligent and brave in repentance? Grandpa Dade told us to have five minds and four powers when confessing. Let's talk about what five hearts are first.

(1) Shame: Buddhism and Bodhisattva are as pure as the sun and the moon. We have done all kinds of evils, and we have been reprimanded by all saints and immortals, and we have been accused of being disgusting by many ghosts and gods. It's really embarrassing. It's embarrassing.

(2) Fear: As an ordinary person, it is natural that three things should always correspond to bad karma, so after the end of life, you will fall into hell, hungry ghosts and animals, and suffer a lot. How can this not make people feel panic and terror?

(3) aversion to centrifugation: in the past, ignorance made evil deeds, but now it is full of sin and pollution, so we should be disgusted. We often hide our karma because of saving face, which hinders repentance and prevents us from launching an aversion to centrifugation. So we have to look at life and death, which is often burned by the fire of impermanence. All kinds of sufferings are continuous, impure and full, false and illusory. It is just a scene, such as a bubble rising rapidly and disappearing, life and death rolling like a wheel for a moment, eight pains not stopping, introspection of one's own impurity, and nine holes flowing dirty. Both internal and external laws are ugly and fake. When you are tired of leaving, repent quickly.

(4) Bodhidharma: Bodhidharma can cure all serious diseases of life and death, burn all obstacles, achieve all good dharma, educate all sentient beings, be strict with Buddhism and achieve all merits and demerits of Tathagata, so it is Bodhidharma.

(5) Pro-equality resentment: show compassion to all sentient beings, and no one cares about me. If not, we will divide our grievances, protect our relatives with evil, breed greed, anger and disaster, and create evil and harm.

This is extremely convenient, and then you can observe ten buddhas and bodhisattvas, or just one Buddha and one bodhisattva. "Buddhist Classics" said: "I miss the ten Buddha sages, clench my fists, pray in Chen Zhi, be ashamed of reform, relax my body and mind, and pump my stomach. If I confess like this, I won't die and I won't remove obstacles. " Otherwise, you will be dull, impetuous, and relaxed, and your sins will go away, and you won't come to catch your breath. You will have to report your personal feelings in three ways, and you will seek to get rid of it indefinitely, and there will be no substitute. A wise man should think deeply.

Four opposing forces:

(1) according to the braking force, according to the braking force, is based on the braking force and internal braking force. External restraint refers to the yearning for Buddha and Bodhisattva, while internal restraint refers to conversion and initiation. In short, according to Zhili, we should convert to Sambo, remember its merits, and sincerely pray for Sambo to clear the sin barrier. When you repent, you should initiate a bodhicitta-free mind for all sentient beings, clean up your karma, and achieve positive results, so as to thoroughly clean up all past sins. As the Bodhisattva said, "Bodhi mind is like robbing the last fire, which can destroy all serious crimes in an instant." We sentient beings in the end of the Dharma era, because of deep troubles, some people broke the precepts after learning Buddhism. Originally, he committed these serious crimes and wanted to degenerate, but as long as this person does not give up bodhicitta and relies on the blessing of Sambo Bodhicitta, not only will he not degenerate, but he can also reach the other shore smoothly.

(2) Evil-breaking power: In many Buddhist scriptures, it is said that people's inner repentance of their mistakes and determination to repent have a powerful force to eliminate karma and transform their body and mind. Guangjin Mingjing said: "Thousands of robbers have committed extremely serious crimes, and they regret it every day. The root cause of their crimes will always be uprooted." We should arouse a great sense of shame, remorse and desire to clean up the evil cause from the heart, and express our remorse without concealment or concealment. Without a strong sense of regret, it is impossible to clean up by oral confession.

(3) Resilience: I swear that I will never recreate the evil cause again, strictly observe the precepts, be cautious in words and deeds, and pursue a better cause. "Penie Er Guang Shi" said: "Without the sincerity of protection, you can only repent." Therefore, it is very important to protect yourself from evil deeds.

(4) Current karma management: refers to all kinds of methods that can manage karma in practicing Buddhism. Good Dharma is divided into six parts: (1) According to the profound classics, it refers to reading Mahayana Prajna Paramita Sutra and other sutras (such as Diamond Sutra) and reciting mantras with the power of eliminating sin; (2) according to winning the empty solution, it means that there is no empty space in the interests, and the original pure empty space can be settled. According to the air, all kinds of criminal obstacles can be removed. This is the basic principle. If so, visualization can eliminate all troubles and obstacles, and the power to eliminate evil deeds is greater than repentance; (3) According to reciting hundreds of words, Dalagni is superior to others, and reciting it as a gift. (4) According to the image means having full confidence in the Buddha and Bodhisattva, and building Buddhist scriptures and statues with piety; (5) According to support, it refers to all kinds of support for Buddha statues and pagodas; (6) According to the name, it refers to reciting the names of buddhas and bodhisattvas. This practice can eliminate evils and obstacles. Novices can turn the heavy industry that gives birth to evil interests into bitterness, or let them suffer from evil interests but not accept them, or have a slight headache when they appear. And turn things that should be reported for a long time into short-term or not reported at all. The degree of eliminating evil depends on the strength of the practitioner, whether he has four pairs of strength, whether the power of repentance is fierce, whether the time is long or short, and so on. If you want to thoroughly clean up bad karma, it is extremely important to have four kinds of bad karma as much as possible and pay attention to protecting them.

The above five kinds of telepathy convenience plus four kinds of healing power, confession of the above three obstacles, there will be various phenomena, such as seeing light, seeing flowers, physical and mental agility, increased confidence, increased kindness, and trouble and weakness. You can also observe from a dream, such as dreaming of taking a bath, climbing a snowy mountain, seeing the sun and the moon appear, and wearing white clothes.

Talk about it

Rational repentance, that is, lifeless repentance, is to observe the origin of bad karma or sinful karma and realize that knowing karma is empty, just the vain persistence of ordinary people. Pursuing the origin of bad karma, you can't get it, and you have nowhere to live. Since bad karma is lifeless, there will be no bad karma, so why repent?

Therefore, through the experience of inanimate rationality, the purpose of repentance is naturally achieved. This is an innocent confession. For example, the Buddhist Sutra of the Bodhisattva says: "If you want to repent, sit up and read the truth, and your sin is like first frost, and your wisdom is destroyed." "Therefore, we should sincerely and diligently confess six sins." This passage expresses the truth of not confessing. That is to observe the roots of various crimes with the wisdom of Prajna, that is, this unscrupulous heart, to see where he came from, where he lived, and where he finally went. What is the shape and color of this heart? What is the size? Is it inside or outside? So looking for this heart is like nothingness. That is, the so-called "confession from the heart, death from the heart, death from the heart, and true confession."

The fourth ancestor mentioned it in his "Peace of mind and Convenient Practice". "If you want to repent, sit up and look at the reality. Making the first confession is "no confession." Looking at reality through meditation is the most direct and ultimate method of repentance. What is the reality? Reality has no phase, and the phase without phase is called reality. Delusions and karma are born of karma and are illusory.

In the final analysis, all laws are empty and unavailable. As long as we can rule out the famous sayings and differences in all laws, observe with wisdom and directly understand the realm of truth, that is reality. What's that? Truth is the true face of all laws. "The truth is true, but the truth remains the same." This is the reality of all laws and cannot be changed. What can be changed is reality. What can be changed are famous sayings and differences. Behind the famous sayings and differences is the reality of all laws. Being able to observe the reality of various laws is the best confession in itself, so it is called "the first confession". In fact, there is no first and second confession. The so-called "first" is that this is the ultimate and fundamental confession. Therefore, whether it is chanting Buddha, holding a mantra, visualizing and counting breath, it is a line of samadhi in real life. In other words, I entered a state of meditation and emptiness, which is the clearest way to repent. For example, the silkworm of the third ancestor got a severe wind disease (similar to leprosy now) when it met the second ancestor. He asked his second ancestor to help him repent and cure the disease. The second ancestor asked him, "I'm going to be sick." Bringing your illness here, the last three ancestors saw the air and replied: "You can't get it if you find a disease." Seeing the vacuum, I completely regretted it.

Devadatta killed Buddha and fell into hell. Because he knows how to manage confession, there are three kinds of Zen in hell The Buddha also gave him a record that he would eventually become a Buddha. Therefore, the power of confession is great. The cool Buddha said, "Go to the end of things and go to their roots." Beginners can't ignore things alternately, but the root is harmonious, and things don't hinder their view of the sky. It is also advisable to worship Buddha, recite scriptures, recite spells, etc. However, we need a real spatial vision. Our common karma is relatively large now, and we can't just rely on nothing. Confession is also an important means.

We have seen many methods taught by buddhas and bodhisattvas. Something's wrong, something's right. Things-do it directly according to the rules they gave us. The logical thing is to let us practice meditation and observe the sky often. So as to achieve the purpose of repentance. Most things are complicated and not easy to do. This paper introduces a simple confession method compiled by a Ming film master, which is introduced at the end of the article.

Seven. Obstacles to repentance

There are many obstacles when we repent, for example, because face is the biggest one. Doubt the power of confession, something urgent happens suddenly when you want to repent, and so on. It is because when a person is determined to practice and get rid of life and death, those tired and robbed unjust relatives and creditors are afraid of not paying their debts in the future, or some are greedy and persistent to us, hoping to see us all the time. These people will also hinder us when we want to get rid of it. Unjust creditors have great obstacles, while relatives have little obstacles to greed. Therefore, when we practice, we must always repent in front of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, repent of the infinite sins of the past, and return all the blessings, merits and deeds gained from practice to all unjust creditors. I hope they can all get the same feeling and relief as us.

Eight. Merit and reward

"On Bohemia" said: "If a person practices five regrets for all sentient beings a moment before the Ten Buddhas, if his merits are tangible, there will be no end in the world." Bravely giving Buddhist monks a ring and relying on repentance, they have long been buddhas in the eastern world. In the Samadha Sutra, the Buddha told a case for his father, King Sudan: A long time ago, four monks broke the precepts and felt very ashamed. When they were in a trance, they suddenly heard the air say, "Although you broke the precepts, don't think that you are hopeless." Although the empty king Tathagata is nirvana, the Buddha statue still exists. He should go to the stupa to see the white hair on the forehead of the Buddha statue. "Monks listened, grateful, if the dying doctor ordered to take a panacea. He sighed with emotion: "The Buddha statue is still so mighty, let alone see the Buddha's face? "When I fell to the ground like a mountain, I collapsed. They are four Buddhas surrounded by Taoism: the immortal Buddha in the east, the treasure Buddha in the south, the infinite life Buddha in the west and the king Buddha in the north. The so-called "sinful, can't stop a confession" is really true.

There is a cloud in the Buddhist scriptures: "Among all blessings, repentance is the most important thing, except for great obstacles, and great goodness is born." Repentance of karma can enable us to successfully complete the cause of spiritual practice, reduce the bumps on the road of spiritual practice, and finally become a Buddha and a ancestor. Karma confession has so many benefits, so many merits and blessings. Then we should not only try our best to repent, but also persuade and help others to repent. And report these merits and blessings to your relatives and friends and all sentient beings. Be brave, be sure of cause and effect, and believe that good causes will have good results, and evil causes will have bad consequences. Only those who believe in cause and effect can give up worldly pleasures, pay incomparable perseverance, get rid of all bad karma and practice hard. Therefore, before seeking clarity, we must repent of karma and believe in cause and effect. Confess your karma bravely and diligently.
