I have always thought that the greatness of A Dream of Red Mansions is that it embodies a declining trend, which is rare in China's classical novels and likes happy endings.
I have to thank Gao E, his successor. Although he couldn't keep up with Cao Xueqin's thoughts in many aspects, he at least let Daiyu die. Whether she died or not, at least she left Baoyu, which is very good.
It's not that I'm born cruel and like to watch other people's tragedies, but isn't there a saying? An old frontiersman loses his horse—a blessing in disguise. For a fragile feudal girl like Dai Yu, death is her liberation, the end of all her tragedies and her happiness. When she slept quietly in the ground and watched Baoyu still looking for a way out on earth, I had to say that she was still happy.
Maybe two people are romantic people, and romantic people should not meet each other by nature, because life is not romantic, and life will kill romance completely. Finally, the red rose turned into mosquito blood on the wall, and the white rose turned into white rice stuck to the chest. So, let romance come to an end at the most beautiful time and leave beautiful memories in each other's hearts.
But you might say that Daiyu's death was tragic and not romantic at all. In this respect, I don't approve of Gao E's sequel. Maybe Cao Xueqin didn't mean it. Maybe Daiyu really should shed tears to prove the front. Isn't this better? She was worried about Baoyu and wept bitterly for her bosom friend. After careful consideration, such a death is noble and sacred. However, Gao E did not write this. He finally made Daiyu vulgar, resentful and furious. This is not like the arrogant and self-admiring Daiyu we know, but like an ordinary woman who is frustrated in love.
Nevertheless, she finally left this trouble spot before Jia Fu collapsed, otherwise, because of her fragility, I'm afraid she couldn't stand such a big stimulus. Baoyu is a dude. He is not a man of indomitable spirit. He can give Daiyu little, let alone protection and comfort. He is still a weak person who needs protection from others, and Daiyu can't be happy around him.
So it is a kind of happiness to leave him memories. Baoyu himself can only give Daiyu a few good words. He's not even obsessed. Looking at Baochai's fate, I have to say that Daiyu is happy. Of course, some people say that Baochai only wants Grandma Bao's throne and doesn't care about Baoyu. Is that so? Is there a woman who naturally likes loneliness? Anyway, it is always painful to live alone. Besides, it is still a question whether she took the so-called grandmother Bao's throne.
If Jia Fu fails, at least Baochai still has a place to live, at least she has no husband and wealth, but isn't that right? Finally, Jia Fu was reduced to the point where the white land was really clean. What is the significance of the title of Grandma Bao Er to Baochai? Without a happy life and the care of her husband, isn't it a greater tragedy to live alone and die alone?
I always suspected that Baoyu didn't leave Jiafu because of Daiyu, otherwise he wouldn't have married Baochai. He was born at last, because his world had undergone earth-shaking changes, his ivory tower collapsed, and he finally understood his struggle. In fact, all his thoughts are on his family, and his family has collapsed, and everything is finished. Without any thoughts and struggles, he had to run away from home, perhaps to avoid disaster.
Imagine, can you imagine Daiyu washing her hands and cooking soup? Dressed in rags and skirts, and even relying on the relief of attacking people, then of course she can no longer be mean and gossip, but can only cry alone, not about love, but about life. When life has put a huge question mark on Baodai's love, can Daiyu still love Baoyu as always? I don't think so. I'm afraid the Longwang Temple will be flooded. Then Baoyu finally couldn't stand the pressure at home and left, which is very possible. He can't afford to live without taking good care of Baochai. The same is true of Daiyu.
Another possibility is that if Jia Fu can regroup, Gui Lan and Qi Fang, Dai Yu and Baoyu still live their happy lives, after many years, Baoyu may suddenly find his face wrinkled, then he will find the attacker around him like Aunt Zhao, and then his love will pass away in the years, and then Baoyu will recall that round and smooth baby sister.
In fact, love is very short. At least this kind of cross love gives us a lot of beautiful fantasies and expectations, just like Jack to Ross. He is the most beautiful memory in her life, but not the only one.
Thoughts on Reading A Dream of Red Mansions —— Rebound Pipa Qingwen's Articles
"Ji month is hard to meet, the clouds are easy to disperse, and the heart is higher than the sky, which is base. Romantic dexterity makes people complain. Shouduo was born of slander, and his affectionate son was empty. "
From this poem, we can see Mr. Cao Xueqin's attitude towards Qingwen. Mr. Cao Xueqin thinks that she is in the spirit of heaven, and her character is very rare and aboveboard. She will die because of the darkness of the surrounding environment, which shows that Cao Xueqin's basic attitude towards her is still positive.
But I want to put it another way, because when Mr. Cao Xueqin wrote this book, he often restored his life as it was, so even though he was partial to this arrogant slave, he still wrote a lot of her mistakes in writing, and of course many of them were the reasons for her death.
First of all, in many books, in order to praise this rebellious slave, she will be described as an advanced soldier. What is it? Is she really as considerate as everyone says? Wrong, she is just like Baoyu at best. On the one hand, she realized that this seemingly comfortable life actually oppressed people like them, but on the other hand, she couldn't live without it. She can only cling to this life, leave this life and return to a poor home. She died like a newly opened gladiolus being sent to a pigsty.
Secondly, is she really a slave? Of course not. Although humble, no parents were sold into Jia's house, but they were kept by the old lady, and they were able to introduce their brother into the house. Later, she followed Baoyu, who was also one of the best girls in the room. In the pyramid structure of Jiafu, this big girl is actually the second master after the master. What is a slave? In the Grand View Garden, there are people with lower status than her, such as women and old ladies. Even in Hongyi's garden, there are a group of little girls sent by them. This kind of big girl sometimes has great power and can discipline her on behalf of her master. If it is a kind of helplessness in feudal society that her master bullies her slaves, it is the sorrow that they compete with each other. On one occasion, Qingwen punished the little girl who broke something. She pinched her first, then poked her with a hairpin, and then kicked her out with the last sentence, making others irrefutable. The little girl in the middle was wrong, but it was Qingwen.
Third, does Qingwen really not love Baoyu? Personally, I think she is loving. You see, she always quarrels with xiren. Although a large part of it is that she doesn't like attacking people, isn't there jealousy in it? Aaron said "we", but she clung to it and made a lot of cynicism. She also satirized the musk moon. When she got two clothes from her wife, she couldn't see Musk Moon's smile. However, after several times, she rushed to send something, saying that she would "show her good looks." Baoyu combs Musk Moon's hair, and Musk Moon hides at the door to eavesdrop. In fact, she has been paying attention to this Baoyu, paying attention to the girls who are close to Baoyu, such as Xiaohong and Baoyu, and they are rudely interrupted by her. She once said with a smile, "There is nothing I don't know" because she has been paying attention! But Qingwen is a slave with bones. She doesn't want to love someone humbly. She always wants to be an equal with Baoyu. She can't love someone as lowly as xiren. She has her own characteristics, a bit like a savage girlfriend, beautiful but not gentle. Xiren once laughed at Baoyu, "I can't live without her hard words every day." Obviously, Qingwen's playing hard to get is still useful.
Fourth, Qingwen's ambition. What ambition can Qingwen have? No matter how much she resists, can she know what to resist? She struggled blankly, but in fact she didn't know what she was fighting for. What does she expect? Equality? What kind of equality? She is a girl who grew up in a rich country. She is spoiled. What can she do if she leaves this rich and beautiful place? To a large extent, she doesn't know what to complain about and what to fight for. She knew she was too humble to stand on the same level as Baoyu, but she wanted to. Her highest goal is just to become a young lady and have an equal love affair with Baoyu. Her tragedy is because she hopes more than she gets, her heart is too high, and she will never be as happy as Xiren, so she has been suffering.
Fifth, Qingwen's interpersonal relationship, why Qingwen ended up like that, largely because of her extremely failed interpersonal relationship, she could not get a relative from her superiors. This is normal, even now most people don't like such stubborn people; She doesn't get the favor of her subordinates either. She likes to bully others. She looks down on people who are humbler than her and takes the lead in everything. So once it happened, a group of people sued her and were finally kicked out of the house. In my opinion, this is really not as good as xiren, who is far more sociable than her.
After a few words, I still feel unable to express my meaning.
