Analysis on the Motivation of Network Literature Creation

Creative motivation is the purpose and reason for writers and artists to engage in specific creative activities, which has an important influence on the whole creative process. This paper discusses and analyzes the emergence, creative content, writing skills, living status and research results of online literature, and holds that the pure desire to tell should be the simplest and most primitive purpose of online literature creation.

Keywords: literature; Network literature; theoretical research

In the previous research on online literature, the author summarized the following definitions and characteristics for online literature: online literature is a literary work published by netizens on the Internet for their reading, that is, online literature is a literary work "created" on the Internet, and it is a literary work created by using multimedia, network interaction and other information technologies on the Internet. Spoken language is the characteristic of network literature. The motivation of online literature creation is closely related to the characteristics of liberalization. The openness brought by network technology makes the daily activities of cyberspace changeable and anonymous. The equality of status determines that netizens have no constraints and restrictions in the real society and enjoy spiritual democracy and freedom, which provides openness and equality for those netizens who are interested in literary creation. Free creative space. This creative environment with high degree of freedom provides maximum equality and freedom for netizens who are interested in literary creation, which makes online literary creation in this sense the closest to the essential attribute of literature, because the soul of literary creation is the pursuit of freedom.

The characteristics of advocating and pursuing freedom in online literary creation not only make it closest to the essential attribute of literature, but also easily mobilize the creative desire of netizens with literary creation hobbies and promote the formation of their creative motives.

Intention, in psychology, refers to the desire or idea to cause and maintain individual behavior and guide this behavior to the established goal. Creative motivation is the purpose and reason for literary and art workers to engage in specific creative activities, which has an important influence on the whole creative process. Writers always create literature for some reason, or they are depressed inside. Or there are some ideas to convey, or there are some existing things to maintain or criticize, and so on. These are all within the scope of creative motivation. According to the scope of creative motivation, it can be summarized into two aspects: first, the individual factors of creative motivation. Literary creation is first and foremost an individual spiritual activity, so the individual spiritual needs of writers are an important part of creative motivation. Second, the social factors of creative motivation. Although literary creation is a personal spiritual activity, the writer always lives in the network of social relations, so he is restricted by society. In a sense, the motivation of literary creation is often the writer's positive response to a certain "call" of society. [ 1]

The motivation of online literature creation to be studied in this paper mainly refers to the simplest and most primitive purpose of netizens who are interested in literary creation, excluding those who borrow online carriers for fame or publish shortcuts through high click-through rate or participating in the original literature competition. As a female writer who is very concerned about the living conditions of online literature, Zhang Kangkang once made this statement about the creative motivation of online literature: "In the mid-1990s, the author of online literature was a kind of non-utilitarian writing out of pure desire to tell." "In the 2 1 century, online literature has gradually become a more popular way of speaking, which is a necessary way of freedom of speech." Xia Lie, a young literary critic, believes that in the first few years, online writers were basically born in the 1970s, and their creations were very personalized, such as The Sorrow of Anne Baby. Murong Xuecun's urban novels. [2] I feel the same way about this, which is also the unanimous view of many online literature researchers. This can also be confirmed by the network writers who were once famous on the Internet: On June 8, 2000165438+1October 8, at a network literature seminar hosted by Ding Lei and Zhu, the participants expressed their opinions. Caishen Ning said, "What I wrote is pure nonsense. I can't even figure out what happened after I became famous. " Answering "Why do I code words online?" KINOMOTO SAKURA said, "In order to express happiness, it is difficult for us to get the opportunity to publish in traditional media. On the internet, there is no need to have this kind of worry, but it has also caused a lot of chatter in the online literary world. " June, 2005 +0 1 Cai Zhiheng, the pioneer of online literature who signed a new work Peacock Forest in Hangzhou, said with emotion: The online writers of their generation have no writing experience and just want to express their feelings through words. It turns out that Anne Baby and others are all from.

From the perspective of psychoanalysis, telling the essence of desire is an emotional catharsis. The initial form of online literary creation is that literary lovers show their original works through BBS or personal homepage, and then there is a special literary website. If these writing enthusiasts are divided according to the types of netizens, most of them belong to the "romantic school": such people are full of poetry and want to be a poet with lofty and widowed songs from an early age. But pure literature is in recession, and the poems they contributed have never been published, so they brush something romantic in the fields ... [4] Even some online writers don't think their works can belong to the category of literary works, so they can only call them sentimental notes. Therefore, these works often have a strong tendency to tell, showing unadorned nature and truth, which is refreshing and refreshing. In fact, among the initiators and early successors of online literature creation, a considerable number of writers (or writers) belong to the kind of "artists dominated by impulsive emotions." Some authors also set up personal homepages on the Internet to show their original works. The establishment of the original position of online literature makes the creation of online literature present an unprecedented scene. [5] And the technical characteristics of the network show the transcendence of the space boundary. It makes the work easy to face a large number of people, gain a readership beyond the writer's expectation or even imagination, and make it receive unexpected results. In addition, the anonymity provided by network technology makes writers invisible, and their creations show more arbitrariness, recklessness and even some private expressions. This is also extremely suitable for the requirements of emotional catharsis. Literary lovers' creative works can be published without any constraints, which greatly satisfies their personal desire for publication and can express the author's thoughts and emotions to the maximum extent, so that these "artists dominated by impulsive emotions" can express their original motives at will without having to bear the censorship required for the publication of traditional works. The creative power has been freely released. As someone said, where there are people who can surf the Internet, there will be so-called "network literature" works. Nonsense, laughing and cursing are all articles. [6]

Judging from the creation content of online literature, it is basically the writer's personal life experience, and even most of them are love experiences, not other experiences. This can be said to be a typical amateur creative mentality, especially on the Internet. It should be noted that there are not many such experiences. Actually, it is the result of the author's fantasy. Fantasy means that the writer realizes an ideal spiritual compensation by constructing a fantasy world that does not exist in real life. Fantasy is produced by unsatisfied desires. Because the writer has caused some defects in real life, he has turned this missing experience into a fantasy, so that the aesthetic form of this fantasy can satisfy his wishes. Freud wrote in Creator and Daydream: "We hereby assert that a happy person will never fantasize. Only people whose wishes are not satisfied can imagine that the motivation is that their wishes are not satisfied. Every fantasy is the realization of a wish, which is related to the unsatisfied reality. " This profoundly reveals the relationship between fantasy and creative motivation. In fact, a very important reason here is that the theme of love is most suitable for fantasy, emotional catharsis and self-expression.

Judging from the writing techniques of online literature, it is not as rigorous as traditional novels, showing a casual looseness, seemingly improvising graffiti, and is too lazy to consider any structural problems. When the author tells a story, he lacks the necessary bedding and explanation, and the character's behavior is often surly and abrupt, and the character change and plot development are often interrupted, which is illogical. In fact, this is the creative motivation of the writer's emotional venting, and it is also a trace left in his writing skills. Or it can be said that emotional catharsis is the basic requirement of writing skills. If the writer designs narrative cohesion from time to time in the process of creation, the emotional motivation will be interrupted. In fact, the result of catharsis is the realistic narrative state of online literature. Xing Yusen, a famous online writer, called himself a "pervert" in his works, and his actions and thinking were chaotic. So this work was carried out in chaos.

To sum up, the author believes that the creative motivation of online literature, from the most primitive point of view, is purely about desire, or can be expressed as emotional catharsis and self-expression.
