Are there many classes? Are you tired?
Before I came, I asked some students about Edinburgh University, and the answer was that I love education university, but it's easy to become famous. Actually, I was a little upset when I heard this. After all, after paying so much tuition, being relaxed means not learning anything. When the result came, it was completely misleading. There are really many courses for TESOL majors, especially in the first semester. Besides lectures, there are many workshops that need to be discussed and prepared by ourselves. There are really classes every day, which is rare in liberal arts majors. So now everyone says that my tuition is the best.
homework
Homework, usually papers, TESOL of Edinburgh University has many papers, but the teacher said that we have reduced the amount of homework at this level. For example, in some courses, we only need to write two papers now, compared with four in the last class, which is much less than us. However, everyone still feels that there is a lot of homework, and the hard work of seniors and sisters can be imagined.
About classmates
Mainly Asians, then Koreans and Japanese. There are no Indians in our class. Then came the British, Poles, Canadians, Americans, South Africans, Greeks and Egyptians. That's basically it.
Learning atmosphere
I heard before that the atmosphere of reading TESOL is very bad, similar to domestic correspondence. Come and look at the situation. The person who can say this is too irresponsible. It is nonsense to say offensive points! There are many students in Asia, and naturally there are many students who study hard. And this major requires work experience. Many people have worked for several years and come out to study. They naturally understand that reading opportunities are hard to come by. In short, the learning atmosphere in the class is very good, and the students work very hard.
teacher
Professional teachers are very good and knowledgeable, which I believe will bring you a lot of help.
work experience
This major requires 2 years of work experience. If you graduate this year, he will advise you to take a course in the summer vacation. But I still suggest that it is best to have work experience. Really, because many times, class discussions, or papers and homework all involve your own teaching content, problems and so on. If you have no experience, it will be more difficult to read.
suggestion
TESOL of Edinburgh University has a good reputation, and their research strength in English is also quite outstanding. There is no requirement for teaching experience except fame and prestige. As long as your English is good enough, this is a good choice. So in China, it is very helpful to read as many books about linguistics as possible.
