Zhang Shuyuan's main achievements
Mainly engaged in the teaching and research of coordination chemistry, liquid crystal chemistry and related disciplines. Co-developed "Recovered Silver Plating Solution" with others (as the first inventor) and won the fourth prize of 1987 National Invention Award. 1989 was awarded the title of model worker in Henan province. As the first inventor, he won the fourth prize of national invention, the second prize of provincial scientific and technological achievements and the first prize of provincial natural science papers, and won 12 awards. He has published more than 70 papers in academic journals at home and abroad.

Basic theoretical research: participated in 3 projects of National Natural Science Foundation. He presided over and participated in 7 provincial natural science foundation projects. She designed and synthesized various types of macromolecular liquid crystals and small molecular liquid crystal complexes. The relationship between structure and properties, and the influence of metal type and content on liquid crystal properties were systematically studied. It is reported for the first time that the introduction of palladium into liquid crystal molecules has a positive effect on the liquid crystal properties of ligands. In addition, liquid crystal ligands and their complexes containing two-dimensional liquid crystal units have been systematically synthesized and studied at home and abroad. It has achieved innovative research results and has high academic value. This research has opened up new fields of coordination chemistry, polymer chemistry, organometallic chemistry and liquid crystal chemistry. She is one of the earliest researchers engaged in the research of liquid crystal complexes in China, and also the first person to read the research paper on liquid crystal complexes at the national liquid crystal academic conference. The research papers were published in important academic journals at home and abroad, and were well received by peer experts.
