1. At the end of the previous page where you need to start paging, select the menu "Insert/Delimiter/section break Type-Next Page".
2. Jump to the page where you want to start inserting page numbers and select View/Header and Footer. The Header/Footer toolbar will appear, and you will find that the header/footer of this page has several words "Header-Section 2" and "Footer-Section 2". On the right are the words "Same as the previous section" and "Header/Footer" toolbar. Pages before inserting section break Next Page are displayed as Header-Section 1 and Footer-Section 1.
3. Note: WORD's definitions of section 1 and section 2 actually allow these two parts to define different headers and page angles. Just remove the words "same as the previous section" in the second section. The method is to click the "Link to the previous page" button in the header and page corner of the second section, so that the header and page corner of the second section can be set to those of the 65438+ section. At this point, go back to Section 2 and set the "Header/Page Corner" in Section 2 separately. Finally, you can modify or delete the header and footer of the 1 section.
Using the above method, you can arbitrarily insert multiple different consecutive page numbers in a document, select "Format Page Numbers", and you can also specify that the page numbers start with any number.
However, by default, the added title content will be underlined. Sometimes we don't need it, but this underline can't be deleted directly. What should we do if we want to remove this underline?
In fact, the method is very simple, just the following steps.
Step 1: Click the Header and Footer command in the View menu, or double-click the header text directly to place the cursor insertion point at the header position.
Step 2: Click Borders and Shading on the Format menu to open the Borders and Shading dialog box.
Step 3: Switch to the "Border" tab, select "None" under the "Settings" column, then change the "Apply to" drop-down box in the lower right corner to "Paragraph" and click OK. When you look back, you will find that the underline in the header has disappeared.

When you insert a header in a word document, a horizontal line will automatically appear at the header to separate the text. If the user does not need this prefix horizontal line, it can be removed.
