The outpatient and emergency department is an important part of the hospital, the front line of hospital work and the main window facing the society. The quality of outpatient and emergency work has always been an important standard to measure the overall level, service quality and emergency response ability of hospitals. How to make outpatient and emergency nursing work adapt to the changes of new medical model and better serve patients is a serious issue facing nursing managers. The author is engaged in outpatient and emergency nursing, and analyzes and summarizes several measures to improve the quality of outpatient and emergency nursing.

With the change of medical model and the progress of emergency medicine, more and more critically ill patients have been rescued by medical staff and are out of danger. In the process of this series of work, patients and their families also put forward higher requirements for the quality of emergency care. We start from the following aspects to continuously improve the quality of outpatient and emergency care.
1 Strengthen ideological understanding
1. 1 Strengthening service consciousness In view of the characteristics of young emergency nursing team, poor service consciousness of new nurses and easy tension between nurses and patients in recent years, the head nurse taught them many years of work experience and skills in dealing with nurse-patient relationship, and expounded the importance of service attitude in emergency department work. The head nurse's words and deeds make the new nurse think of the patient everywhere in thought, concept and action.
1.2 Strengthen ideological education and carry out regular high-quality service education activities, so that nurses can understand the anxiety and desire for medical treatment of patients and their families from the immediate interests of patients and their families, thus changing passive service into active service.
1.3 Strengthen risk awareness and educate every nurse to make them aware of the high risk of emergency work. For some high-risk nursing activities, it is necessary to strengthen risk management and formulate measures, such as bedsore prevention and safety management of critically ill patients in bed and suicide prevention of drug addicts. And do a good job in every link to minimize the risk factors.
2. Familiar with the emergency department nursing system.
(1) Emergency nurses should warmly receive emergency patients and seriously ask about their illness. All patients with complicated conditions are decided by the triage nurse, and the first-time doctor is responsible for diagnosis and treatment, and all kinds of records are registered.
(2) Every critically ill patient should first observe the vital signs, immediately give necessary first aid measures according to the condition, and report to the doctor on duty for first aid; In case of difficult and critical patients, please immediately ask a superior doctor to make a diagnosis and give treatment or notify all subjects for consultation, and * * * will cooperate with the diagnosis and treatment. If it is necessary to transfer to the inpatient department urgently, in addition to sending someone to escort, it is also necessary to call the medical department, the monitor of the total value or the corresponding department to make preparations for the reception.
(3) In case of major rescue, such as a large number of acute food poisoning, accidental industrial accidents, etc. , should immediately notify the director of the emergency department and the director of the outpatient department, and report to the medical department and the chief attendant to organize rescue work. Patients involved in legal disputes should be actively treated and reported to the relevant departments immediately.
(4) All kinds of rescue drugs and equipment should be fully prepared, guaranteed to be available at any time, kept by special personnel, placed in a fixed position, easy to use, regularly checked and maintained, and updated in time to ensure the qualified rate 100%.
(5) emergency department staff must stick to their posts, do a good job of succession, strictly implement emergency rules and regulations and master operating procedures, and establish and improve operating procedures for various rescue technologies for critically ill patients.
(6) Stay in the hospital for observation, do a good job of nursing according to the doctor's advice issued by the emergency doctor of the relevant department, fill in all kinds of laboratory sheets in detail, closely observe the changes of the condition, report to the attending doctor in time and deal with them accordingly. The observation time is generally not more than three days.
(7) Specialist nurses in the emergency department should master the unarmed cardiopulmonary resuscitation technology and other related first aid knowledge, master the use of first aid instruments and equipment, and organize regular study, training and assessment.
3. Strengthen professional theoretical study and first aid skills training.
3. 1 Strengthening professional theory study We organize nurses to participate in various forms of business study and nursing rounds every month, take the "three basics" theory and specialist theory exams twice a year, and require nurses to write 1 nursing work summary every year. Write 2 nursing papers in 3 ~ 5 years, communicate in departments and hospitals, or contribute to professional magazines at or above the municipal level to improve their professional theoretical level.
3.2 Strengthen the training of first aid skills. Cultivate nurses' comprehensive ability to deal with problems. We regularly train emergency nurses, especially new nurses, in first aid skills. Make emergency rescue nursing routine and rescue nursing procedure, and often carry out emergency scene simulation drills to cultivate nurses' first aid ability. Conduct spot checks on the operation of commonly used first-aid instruments every month, and regularly send personnel to attend first-aid nursing classes at or above the provincial and municipal levels. Through a series of on-the-job training, the ability of emergency nurses to judge the condition, deal with emergencies, communicate with patients and their families and deal with problems comprehensively has been improved.
4. Strengthen nursing management.
As a nursing manager, we must establish the preventive management thought of "people-oriented, patient-centered" so that every link can meet the management standards. Managers should be good at analyzing the causes of nursing-related disputes in medical activities, exploring their root causes, formulating practical preventive countermeasures, and educating everyone repeatedly with examples of disputes to prevent similar problems from happening again; Reasonable arrangement of shifts and arrangement of shifts between old nurses and head nurses can reduce hidden dangers to the lowest point.
