Research interests include: information detection and intelligence technology, modern sensing and data fusion technology, photoelectric detection and computer vision detection technology, process monitoring and system precision measurement and control technology and instrument intelligence, modern sensing and testing information technology and system, advanced display technology and system photoelectric detection technology and system.

The cultivation of postgraduate students adopts the method of combining theoretical study with scientific research. It is necessary to enable graduate students to master basic theories and professional knowledge in depth, and to cultivate their ability to analyze and solve problems in scientific research. In the guidance mode, the training mode of combining the tutor responsibility system with the collective training of the guidance group is adopted.

The academic system of graduate students in this discipline is two and a half years, including course study and thesis work. The course lasts for one year. But in the arrangement, we can't completely separate the course study from the thesis work. While studying the course, graduate students should participate in some professional academic activities in a planned way to prepare for topic selection and thesis work.

Graduate students pass thesis defense at the end of the fifth semester after entering school and leave school after graduation.
