I and Yangming's mind (complete)
Yesterday, I saw a university professor posting an article about Yangming's mind in the WeChat group, and I couldn't wait to pay attention to his official WeChat account.

I had a brief chat with him and found that our views on Yangming's mind were the same.

Yangming's theory of mind is a theory founded by Wang Yangming in Ming Dynasty. I heard from teacher Fan Deng (he also learned from reading) that Wang Yangming was one of the two and a half perfect people in the history of China.

There is a cloud in Zuo Zhuan: there is virtue in the world, and then there is merit, and then there is something to say. Although it is not abolished for a long time, this is called three immortality.

Lide is a noble virtue and a model for the world; To make contributions is to make contributions to the country; To make a statement is to write a book and make a statement, which will affect future generations. Those who have these three things and have far-reaching influence are perfect (saints).

Apart from Wang Yangming, the other semi-perfect people (saints) are Confucius and Zeng Guofan (semi-perfect people). These two people are not the focus of this article, so I won't repeat them here.

Wang Shouren, whose name is Bo 'an, alias Yangming, is known as Mr. Yangming, a famous thinker, philosopher, calligrapher, strategist and educator in Ming Dynasty.

Because of offending eunuch Liu Jin, Wang Yangming was banished to the wilderness, escaped the pursuit on the way, and realized that "mind is reason" in Longchang, and was later reused by the court to suppress bandits.

After Wang Yangming learned of the rebellion of Ning Wang Zhu, he temporarily transferred troops to resist Ning's elite troops and finally won.

Later, Yangming School was founded, which promoted his theory of mind and influenced many countries at home and abroad.

My first impression of him came from the audio version of those things in the Ming Dynasty. I didn't read much at that time. When I heard his deeds, the word "Xue Xin" left a strange impression on me.

I have never heard of this word in my more than ten years of schooling. I don't know if I didn't listen carefully at that time or if there was no such teaching content.

The year before last, I was very interested in Fan Deng's lecture Biography of Wang Yangming. This just combined my impression of "Xue Xin". So I took the initiative to read Wang Yangming's first three books, a book by Mr. Du Yinshan (there was no fourth book at that time).

Awakening is the idiom I can find that suits my mood best at that time. It can be said that now, I work more and more every day and accumulate materials, which is largely influenced by psychology.

If time management is the enlightenment and beginning of my study, then psychology is the code of conduct that I have practiced all my life.

My understanding of psychology is just the tip of the iceberg. My mind is only "mind is reason", "unity of knowledge and action", "to conscience" and "nothing outside my heart", and the four teachings of Mr. Yangming in his later years, which are the essence of his life: "If there is no good, there is no evil body; if there is good, there is a malicious trip; knowing good and evil is a conscience; and getting rid of evil is a character".

In my understanding, psychology should not be confined to the moral level; The mind should be flexible, not static; The mind should be able to accept all kinds of subjects as its own subjects.

"To Conscience" and "Four Sentences Teaching" have Confucian moral standards in many people's eyes. In Biography handed down from ancient times, there are also many questions and answers about ideological cultivation.

Therefore, many people solidified his thought into a theory with morality as its purpose, and thought that his thought was the product of the old society.

In a logical thinking program, when talking about Wang Yangming and Confucianism, Luo Pang said this: "What is Confucianism? I just want to express two points. First, Confucianism is essentially the pursuit of a personality achievement, which has nothing to do with secular utilitarianism. So, if you want to find Confucianism successfully, you are going the wrong way. On the other hand, if you have firm confidence in a set of theories, it is not surprising that you have really reached the stage of success. "

I don't know if Luo Pang has really read all the Confucian books, and I don't know if he has really read them thoroughly, but from his two sentences, I can see that his words and deeds are different.

I admire Luo Pang very much. I am a fan of him and have been chasing his Luo Ji thinking. He insists on making a New Year's speech every year, and I will go to listen to it.

At the beginning of each speech, Luo Pang announced that this was his penultimate New Year speech. He vowed to stick to it for 20 years, the last time was the fifth time, and I will stick to it all the time.

Judging from what he has done, he has practiced the concept of "unity of knowledge and action". No matter what his purpose is, it is grandstanding, flaunting himself, forcing himself, or for commercial interests. The important thing is that he listens to his heart, does what he says, and integrates knowledge with practice.

Some people may say that you want to impose a word on his behavior, which is a bit arrogant. At this point, I just want to say that no matter western philosophy or eastern philosophy, any theory is a summary of life. Wang Yangming explained the relationship between thought and behavior with a simple four-word "unity of knowledge and action". Why can't it be used?

I don't criticize Confucianism in our country. First, because I am not qualified in this field, the criticism should be made by those university professors. Second, if Wang Yangming practiced according to Confucianism, he could not have achieved so much. Will you tell Ning Wang Zhu about Confucian benevolence, righteousness and morality? Doing so can only be death and pedantry.

Therefore, the study of mind should not be limited to the moral level, but should also be applied to real life, which can be a belief in our lives.

Wang Yangming once said that his thoughts can only be passed down by word of mouth, but not recorded in words. In that case, it won't work.

Biography is a book compiled by his disciples, which has deviated from Wang Yangming's original intention. But if you don't record it, future generations won't know his thoughts. If you record it in writing, your thoughts will die. This is a dilemma.

Wang Yangming lived in feudal society, and the mainstream thought of society was Neo-Confucianism in Song and Ming Dynasties. His ideological foundation is Confucianism, which is a branch developed on the basis of Neo-Confucianism in Song and Ming Dynasties. But the theory of mind is not only Confucianism, but also Buddhism and Taoism.

Some people say that it is Harry who can truly achieve the "unity of knowledge and action" in the Ming Dynasty. What Wang Yangming, Zhang, Xu Jie, these politically successful people are not "knowing and doing in one".

Harry, I know something about him. Hai Rui, whose real name is Ruxian, whose real name is Feng Gang, is from Qiongshan (present-day Haikou). The famous honest official in Ming Dynasty was once called "Hai Qingtian" by the people.

Harry is strict with himself, upright and upright, and dares to write letters to scold the emperor. For the sake of Confucian morality in his heart, he dared to fight against the whole ruling class with one hand. He is a good man, but he is just a useless good man.

Everyone knows that he is a model, but he is not flexible. At that time, he could only be a local official and judge cases, and he was not reused.

The unity of knowing and doing pays attention to flexibility. Only for the ideal (that is, conscience) in the heart can we understand the true meaning of psychology.

Wang Yangming, good is good, and evil is evil. For example, bandits surrender if they can. If you can't turn yourself in, you can only bring it to justice, so as to avoid endless future troubles.

In fact, society has changed, but people's hearts have not changed. No matter what era, the roots of psychology remain unchanged, we still have to be "conscientious".

All theories come from the heart, "the heart is the reason."

Copernicus's Heliocentrism, Newton's gravity, Einstein's theory of relativity, they are unconventional and dare to compete with traditional science. Isn't this just listening to your heart, and "the heart is the reason"?

Regarding the unity of knowing and doing, I still remember a sentence by Mr. Wang Yangming: "Knowing is the beginning of doing, and doing is the achievement of knowing." The common people are used to seeing the prophet before acting, because most people can't understand the unity of knowledge and action, so they should put forward the idea of seeing the prophet before acting. For example, only by studying hard can we make contributions to society in the future. For another example, if a person wants to learn the piano, he must first find a teacher to learn the skills of playing the piano, and then keep practicing before he can play the piano well.

Zhu's theory of "understanding knowledge by grasping things" has been highly praised by China society and most scholars. He thinks it is necessary to study things before acquiring knowledge.

For example, if you want to learn to play the guitar, you should first study what the guitar is, how the guitar is played, and what are the techniques of playing the guitar, all of which belong to the case. When you master all this, you will also be able to play the guitar, which means knowing.

But in fact, it is wrong to say that Mr. Zhu learned knowledge from foreign things. Listen to your heart, because your heart is right.

There is a lot of knowledge in the world, and everyone has to learn and seek knowledge, which can't be learned all his life.

Therefore, we should selectively learn what we are interested in or useful to ourselves, which is to follow our hearts.

Let's talk about the unity of knowledge and action. Learning the piano, reading and writing are all unity of knowledge and action.

You learn piano because you want to learn, you study because you want to read and you write because you want to write.

When you are thinking, you are actually doing it. Because your mind drives you to learn piano, reading and writing.

Spiritual learning is like the root of a tree. Our present discipline and knowledge system are like branches and leaves of a tree. Only by cultivating roots can leaves flourish.

Take writing for example, you should ask yourself what your initial intention is. Do you want to write a novel, an argumentative essay or a poem? If you don't even know what you want, you can't stick to it every day, and there is no point in writing this and that.

To sum up, the core theory of psychology should remain unchanged, because the human heart remains unchanged. Thousands of years ago, my father's filial piety was right, and it is the same now.

Psychology is based on traditional morality. Our culture in China has a long history. No matter what changes we have experienced, we can become strong in a short time, just like China today.

However, psychology can't stay at the moral level, and it is also an applied discipline. No matter what discipline, based on psychology or as a belief, it can guide you forward.

Admittedly, the theory of mind also has some disadvantages, its threshold is relatively high, and some concepts are out of date. For example, "Biography" answers many questions about old documents and old ideas.

At the present stage, we should carry forward the thought of psychology, establish modern psychology and help more people.
