1 cut window grilles
My hometown is in northern Shaanxi. Every Chinese New Year holiday, every household has to cut window grilles. Hometown people are ingenious, and many people can cut window grilles.
When I went back to my hometown for the Spring Festival last year, I saw all kinds of window grilles on the windows of every household. People, flowers, cows and fish ... they are all vivid and beautiful. Each tracery pattern represents a meaning. There are also big cocks and carp on my window. According to my mother, I posted these during the Chinese New Year for the sake of all the best in the new year and receiving wealth and blessings. Big carp means more fish every year, and big cock means good luck. I saw a blessing hanging upside down on the door, so I asked my mother what it meant and why she posted it like this. My mother told me that happiness is happiness, which means happiness has come to our home. I am very happy to see that I have food, drink and clothes at home. Fu really came to our house!
I am curious and want to have a try, so let my mother teach me how to cut window grilles. Mother took out a piece of red paper, folded it 70% to 80%, and then cut it with scissors from the middle and the edge. Then I opened the cut window grilles and saw that it was her cut window grilles. The spring flowers were blooming and swallows were flying. I did the same. Like my mother, I cut a window grillage in spring. My mother said, "well cut, like a painting." Spring is coming, you should study hard and don't live up to this wonderful time. "
I remember my mother's words and study hard. When I am free, I also cut some swallows and butterflies and put them on the window of my little bedroom.
I love window grilles, and I love my hometown more!
2 paper cutting
During the Spring Festival, I came to the Drum Tower with the most traditional cultural characteristics in Ningbo and visited the exquisite paper-cutting art on the Drum Tower.
The first thing I saw when I boarded the tower was a row of beautiful Chinese characters and a paper-cut printed with "More than one year". This exquisite production will definitely be amazing! Entering the main hall, there is a picture of "Snow in Spring" hanging on the right wall, which makes people seem to see a cold winter. In a tree covered with snow, there is a lifelike swallow, which makes people feel immersive. This is really a wonderful finishing touch. On the left is the "Happy New Year" sticker with orange background, which makes people feel warm and full of spring. In the middle is the mascot of the Year of the Horse-a little white horse and little Huang Ma hugging and playing under a towering tree, symbolizing unity. Friendship. How can such a creative work of art not make people applaud? The paper-cuts of several other figures are even more vivid, and the hollowed-out patterns show the graceful beautiful girl form and the diligent figure of the old lady sitting in a chair doing needlework. The most shocking thing is a paper-cut of "fifty-six nationalities, fifty-six flowers", which symbolizes the unity of people of all ethnic groups in China wearing different costumes. Brave and hardworking. If you see these paintings, you can't help touching the complicated patterns and the stickers of Pegasus, which will definitely make you fondle admiringly.
The paper-cut art exhibition ended in people's admiration, and the exquisite works of art were really amazing. Visiting the Drum Tower Art Museum made me feel the strong national flavor and the festive arrival of the Spring Festival.
Learn paper-cutting during the Spring Festival.
On the afternoon of February 13, my mother took me to participate in the activity of the folk museum of Nanjing Museum-"Learning paper-cutting during the Spring Festival".
When we arrived at the folk museum, there were many people. Many children took part in this activity accompanied by their parents. Everyone sat down around several long tables, and the teacher gave each student a pair of scissors. The activity is about to begin.
Since none of us have done such paper-cutting, the teacher asked us to do the exercise first, that is, put many pieces of paper with graphics on it on the table, so that everyone can choose their favorite graphics and cut them first. I chose the pattern of goldfish. Hey, why is this "goldfish" only half-length? I opened the folded paper and saw that it was an axisymmetric figure. As long as you cut half of the fish, you can cut the whole fish out. The teacher taught us to cut off the white places in those figures first, and then cut off the outer frame. I feel that the inner frame is always badly cut, so I ask my mother and teacher for help again and again. With the encouragement of my mother, I finally finished cutting the inner frame. The outline is not difficult, "Kaka Kaka", and soon I finished cutting the goldfish pattern. It may be the first time to cut paper like this, but the details are not handled well and the scales of goldfish are not cut out. It doesn't look like "a lively fish".
The teacher checked our work and told us the details that should be paid attention to when cutting paper. For example, it is easier to cut the scissors by cutting the inside and then the outside of the figure. Cutting a small part inside first can make the whole figure more stable. After the investigation, the teacher gave each of us a very complicated pattern: a "spring" in the middle, with magpies, flowers and branches on both sides. I started to cut the wings and twigs of the smallest magpie as my teacher taught me. It's really hard to cut. Magpies have many feathers on their wings. Such a thin thread needs to be cut bit by bit, and it takes a long time to cut a wing. I rubbed my sore wrist and continued my "project". Magpie's eyes are completely independent of each other. How to cut it? I asked the teacher, and a female teacher came to help me. I saw that she gently poked a hole in the magpie's eyes with the scissors tip on the back of the pattern, and gently cut this small blank along the small hole with the scissors tip. On the other hand, magpie's beautiful eyes are open! I carefully cut off the rest of the figure, and finally cut off all the white parts of the border. Mother helped me carefully open the cut picture, and a beautiful "spring picture of magpie" appeared! Let's stick it on a piece of cardboard with a red picture on a white background. It's really nice!
Folk paper-cutting art is really interesting. This activity made me understand that we should not only be serious, but also be patient.
Spring Festival is like paper-cutting.
China is an ancient country with a long history and rich traditional culture. There are folk arts and crafts ceramics, national art dramas, Chinese paintings, customs and habits, dragon boat races, Lantern Festival and so on. But the most noteworthy is the folk art-paper-cutting.
Paper-cutting is a treasure of China folk art and a wonderful flower of folk art, which makes people envy and admire. The content of paper-cut contains a strong flavor of life. Birds, insects, fish, animals, flowers, trees, these familiar and favorite natural landscapes have become paper-cut patterns. Whenever China New Year, festivals or happy events come, people cut out some "blessings", "longevity" and "happiness" and put them on doors and windows to celebrate.
