Art comes from life, and there are examples higher than life: art is the condensation and refinement of life, which sometimes makes some things in life more pure and extreme. It is beautiful and pure, with the creator's personal tendency, and it must show and refine what he thinks is valuable. At this point, compared with the daily complexity, the difference between good and bad is very high. It may not be very accurate, but for example, the use of various rhetorical devices in literature makes the works different from reality, stronger and more shocking, and so on.
Art comes from life and is higher than life.
-Thought of visiting Song Bo Fine Arts and Painting Society.
This paper is based on the feeling of visiting Song Bo Fine Arts Painting Society, which leads to a series of associations. First, my own cartoon "Factory Chimney" originated from the observation and experience of real life, and was shocked and horrified by the real life scene. Then there is Chen Danqing's Tibetan painting, the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival in Song Dynasty, and then it is associated with sister art films-Longxugou and Animal Year. Music erhu "Two Springs Reflecting the Moon" popular song "lonely sandbar Leng"; As well as Lu Xun's True Story of Ah Q, Jiang Xue, a Tang poem, Moluozhuowa, a foreign painter, and guernica, Picasso's works which combine cubism, realism and surrealism. Finally, Qi Baishi's "shrimp" originated from his long-term observation of shrimp life habits and morphology, and further expounded that art comes from life and is higher than life.
Key words: small freehand brushwork, four screens, thriller, borrowing scenery to express emotion, cubism, surrealism, sensibility, rationality, image, parallel development.
Upper guide bearing
As soon as I entered the Song Bo Art Painting Society, there were quaint art-carved tables and chairs, frosted purple sand teapot teacups, colorful Chinese paintings, flowers and birds, landscapes, and all kinds of exotic animals with freehand brushwork ... The breath of art came to me, and I missed going back and forth for a long time, especially a group of "four screens", in which four plants expressed "one screen" with "spring, summer, autumn and winter". Wheat is common to us ordinary people, but here, artists find beauty and express beauty in the "wheat" that ordinary people turn a blind eye to.
The author really put a lot of thought into the performance of wheat grains and carefully arranged and combined them. Every grain of wheat is a unified form, but its shape and posture are different. The generalization of wheat leaves is intertwined with reality, the artistic exaggeration and elongation of wheat straw, the clever use of color and pen and ink, and the change of light and dark lines make the whole picture fresh, neat, calm, handsome and straight, which is absolutely irreplaceable by photography. Compared with the so-called dirty, messy and strange art, this is the real art.
This shows that the author can only draw such a masterpiece by deeply observing and experiencing the "wheat" in real life, coupled with superb painting skills, thus showing that "art comes from life and is higher than life".
Then there is a cartoon I drew-"Factory Chimney", which shows a group of factory chimneys spewing thick black smoke. The thick black smoke twists and turns, and finally it turns into a hideous face with big eyes like two bells and a big mouth open. A monster with fangs comes at me ... This painting stems from my observation of real life. From this, I further associate with the exhaust gas of cars and motorcycles (containing carcinogenic and harmful gases such as hydrogen sulfide). They eat humans quietly like invisible blue demons ... from this, I can draw a series of cartoons called "chimney series"
Chen Danqing's graduation creation "Tibetan Group Paintings" when he was in the graduate class of Central Academy of Fine Arts originated from his life experience in Tibet. The works use extremely simple realism to describe ordinary life scenes, without drama or literary themes. His works are fresh and simple, which caused a great sensation in China art world. Of course, the author draws on the skills of western European classical painting more than Soviet painting. Later, in the graduation creation of various art colleges in China, we can all see ordinary people and ordinary life scenes close to life; The artistic creation of colleges and universities began to move towards the true nature of art, that is, the visual language came up, and the interpretation of the works was returned to the readers-the audience. Chen Danqing said: "If the audience can be unexpectedly moved by the true description of the work and think that this is life, that is my greatest wish ... Some people applaud me for exposing and condemning this terrible backwardness and ignorance, and my answer is no, I hate to expose anything with painting. Some people say that I have deep sympathy and pity for them, but it may not be ... "Zhang Zeduan's famous Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival in the Song Dynasty. The picture takes Bianhe as the composition center and describes the living conditions and folk customs of people from all walks of life in detail. The work shows the artist's amazing familiarity with social life and unique ability to grasp it. They are not only outstanding representatives of ancient realistic paintings, but also provide detailed graphic historical materials for future generations to study the politics, economy, science and technology, culture and folk customs of the Song Dynasty.
As for the sister art of painting-movies, when rehearsing Mr. Lao She's drama Longxugou, the director often takes actors to the smelly ditch residential area in old Beijing, and so do many movies. It is emphasized that the purpose of going deep into life is to have real feelings in the process of artistic creation.
Many viewers criticized the famous director Xie Fei's "Animal Year" in 1989 and thought it was an ordinary film about urban hooligans. However, according to the analysis of film critics, this film has many and very profound times colors, which shows that in the late 1980s and early 1990s, China is facing a great transformation of life and culture, in which different people will have different reactions. Li Huiquan, the hero of the film, failed to adapt to the social transformation, so he became more and more uncomfortable in the increasingly fierce social competition and eventually died. (In real life, if there is Li Huiquan, 99% will not die. This is a vivid example that art comes from life but is higher than life and refined from life. His death has profound practical significance. We can learn from Li Huiquan, a little figure, the great social pressure that Xie Fei, an intellectual, has suffered in the social transformation, so as to grasp the humanistic mentality of contemporary intellectuals in the economic society and consumption era.
The poem "Two Springs Reflect on the Moon" is an eternal swan song, which shows the experience of moonlight and spring water, and looks forward to a cold and bleak musical image. It is based on A Bing's profound experience and observation of the bleak life of working people in reality that he created such a stunning work. Lonely sandbar is cold, a popular song that modern young people love to sing. I think people who write lyrics and compose music probably have the same life experience as this song, so that they can write such touching works and arouse some people's voices.
The emotion in art comes from people's daily life, but it is different from the emotion in daily life. The latter has obvious practical reasons and utilitarian colors, that is, the emotional tendency is determined according to one's own interests, while the former has a certain distance from reality. Artistic creation is to examine and experience the world with an aesthetic attitude, which is more lasting and profound. For example, when we see an idle slacker, the metropolis will feel disgusted. Lu Xun found Ah Q from these people, and combined with the inferior images of other types of nationals, he created an immortal artistic typical image. His feelings for Ah Q are pity, sadness and hatred for China people.
Russian painter Surikov created the famous painting Morozova, that is, once he saw a crow standing in the snow with a wing hanging down ... a black spot stopped in the snow ... For many years, he said he couldn't forget the black spot ... and then he painted Morozova, the aristocratic woman.
Guernica, the masterpiece of the famous Spanish painter Picasso (the current price of this painting is as high as10 million dollars), is a painting that combines cubism, realism and surrealism. In this painting, Picasso mobilized various techniques, used the deformation and arbitrary combination of cubism, and also adopted modelling technique such as surrealist exaggeration and symbolism, only using three colors of black, white and gray in an all-round way, emphasizing the tragic atmosphere and complex symbols. Picasso created this painting to protest against the brutal bombing of the Spanish town of guernica by German fascists during World War II. According to the painter's own explanation, the central image of this painting is a wounded horse, symbolizing the Spanish people brutally slaughtered by fascism. A grinning bull's head in the upper left corner of the picture symbolizes cruelty, cruelty and darkness. In addition, in order to show people's sufferings and fascist atrocities, there are soldiers who were killed, holding broken arrows, women holding dead children, and various symbolic images, such as a head, one arm holding a lamp forward, and sun-like eyes. Obviously, Picasso contains profound rational content in the perceptual form of this painting, which strongly reflects the painter's distinct feelings of love and hate. It is said that after the German fascists occupied Paris, a German officer saw this painting and asked Picasso, "Did you paint this?" Picasso replied angrily, "This is your work!"
Liu Zongyuan's Jiang Xue in the Tang Dynasty has only four sentences: "There are no birds in the hundreds of mountains, and there are no footprints in the thousands of roads. A boat, a bamboo cloak, an old man fishing in the cold river-snow. " In just 20 words, the poet expressed the rational spirit of lofty, aloof and daring to fight through perceptual images such as mountains and rivers, trails, cold current, solitary boat, an old man wearing a hat, hemp fiber and fishing rod, and snow. Reminiscent that Liu Zongyuan was being belittled when he wrote this poem, we can see that the poet used the scenery to express his feelings, and used the feelings in the scenery to express his depressed mood and unyielding character.
Another example is Qi Baishi's Shrimp, which is dominated by light ink, with changeable levels and a sense of transparency, vividly showing the dynamics of shrimp floating in the water, as well as the body of shrimp that is hard outside and soft inside and transparent as jade. The reason why this painting can reach such a high artistic level is inseparable from the long-term observation of Qi Baishi's life habits and the clever use of the artistic language of Chinese painting. Therefore, the shrimps painted by Qi Baishi are famous at home and abroad and have unique artistic charm.
As can be seen from the above-mentioned parallel discussions, art comes from the observation or feeling or experience of life, and on this basis, it is refined, analyzed, selected, summarized and synthesized, and then works of art in life are formed.
