What is Kai-fu Lee's position in CMU Sphinx Project?
Kai-Fu Lee (former global vice president of Microsoft) and Hsiao-Wuen Hon (senior vice president of Microsoft) are both doctors of CMU Computer College. Among them, Shen Xiangyang, Kai-fu Lee and Hsiao-Wuen Hon are students of Professor Raj Reddy from CMU Computer College.

In their student days and early career, there are many little-known stories among the four, and each of them has played an important role in the growth of the other three.

Kai-fu Lee is the first "big brother" among the four to enter CMU. Li Kaifu recalled that the Sphinx was the main direction of his doctoral thesis at that time. The Sphinx was originally made by Kai-fu Lee alone, and later, with Hsiao-Wuen Hon entering the doctoral program, the latter began to promote the Sphinx with Kai-fu Lee.

Early experience:

From 65438 to 0966, Kai-fu Lee attended primary school in Taiwan Province Province.

From 65438 to 0972, Kai-fu Lee attended junior high school and high school with his brother in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, USA.

1983 graduated from the computer department of Columbia University.

1988 received a doctorate in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University, and was awarded the "most important scientific innovation award" by Businessweek that year. After your doctor graduated, you worked as an assistant in this school? Professor? Li Kaifu translated it into an associate professor in his Chinese autobiography, which caused great controversy. In fact, an assistant professor is an assistant professor and an associate professor is an associate professor.

From 1990 to 1996, Kai-fu Lee held the positions of voice group manager, multimedia laboratory director and global vice president of interactive multimedia department in Apple Computer Company.

1996- 1998, Kai-Fu Lee served as the vice president and general manager of the Internet Department and the president of Cosmo Software Company in SGI Computer Company, a Silicon Valley graphics company in the United States, and was responsible for the research and development of multi-platform, Internet 3D graphics and multimedia software.
