Throughout the three stages of information development, digitalization, networking and intelligence are three parallel main lines. Digitalization lays the foundation and realizes the acquisition and accumulation of data resources; Build a network platform to promote the circulation and convergence of data resources; Intelligent display ability, through the fusion analysis of multi-source data, presents the human-like intelligence of information application, and helps human beings to better understand things and solve problems.
The three stages of "digitalization" have their own characteristics and emphases. The first stage of informatization starts from the office with wide demand and the best matching with personal computer capabilities, such as word processing, personnel, finance and material management. And "office digitalization" is the focus of this stage.
In the second stage, the Internet has become the basic platform of informationization with its increasing communication bandwidth and wider coverage. Various information systems are connected to the Internet to exchange data with other systems. People not only rely on the Internet for collaborative work, but also use the Internet to carry out various activities in their lives. The information scene has expanded from the office to the whole human society.
The data accumulated by human beings is no longer limited to structured business data, and the proportion of unstructured text, pictures, audio, video and other user-generated content is increasing day by day. The data shows the trend of structural and unstructured coexistence and large-scale exchange, * * sharing and aggregation through the network. The focus of this stage can be summarized as "social digitalization".
Information technology has entered a new stage, and the focus of digitalization will be "digitalization of everything". More and more real-time states of physical entities are collected, transmitted and aggregated, thus extending the scope of digitalization to the whole physical world. Internet of things data will become the most important part of the data set mastered by human beings, and the characteristics of big data such as mass, diversity and timeliness are more prominent.
Digital China aims to manage the sustainable development, agriculture, resources, environment, global change, ecosystem and soil and water circulation system in China by using remote sensing satellite images as the main technical analysis means.
The Outline of the Fourteenth Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of the People's Republic of China and the Outline of Long-term Goals in 2035 (Draft) put forward that we should welcome the digital age, activate the potential of data elements, promote the construction of a network power, accelerate the construction of a digital economy, a digital society and a digital government, and promote changes in production methods, lifestyles and governance methods with digital transformation as a whole.
During the period of 1998, American Vice President Al Gore put forward the concept of "digital earth" in California Science Center, thinking that digital earth is a multi-resolution and three-dimensional way to describe the earth.
The core content of "Digital Earth" is to obtain digital maps (high-resolution satellite images), and everything on the ground will be exposed on the digital maps.
According to Mr. Li Deren, a professor of Wuhan University, doctoral supervisor and academician of China Academy of Sciences, by 1998, digital earth and digital China were discovered on the Internet, which was the earliest stage and was called digital city.
Compared with the west, we are a little late-comer, but the late-comer also has the advantages of late-comer, such as strong demand, and the country's strength and financial preparation are more adequate than those in the west. By building a smart city, a smart China and a digital China, we can realize a low-carbon, green and sustainable China.
