The difference between spss and amos
1, different division of labor.

Spss does preliminary data description and most statistical work except structural linear model, and amos specializes in statistics related to structural linear model.

2. Use different objects.

When testing the discrimination validity of the scale, it was found that some people used SPSS, mainly to test the extracted mean variance (Ave) and the value of * * * shared variance between this factor and any other factor.

Others used AMOS to test the significance of modified index (MI), and passed the goodness-of-fit tests of x2/df, NNFI, GFI, AGFI, CFI and RMSEA.

3. Different uses.

SPSS is an exploratory statistical analysis software, and AMOS is a confirmatory statistical analysis software. Exploratory factor analysis used SPSS. After exploratory factor analysis is completed, confirmatory factor analysis is needed to verify whether the obtained factor structure is reasonable.

If the current papers involve factor analysis, most of them need confirmatory factor analysis, path analysis and so on. At this time, AMOS comes in handy. It can perform confirmatory factor analysis, path analysis, grouping analysis and so on.

Extended data

SPSS operation function:

1, parameter test: single sample, two independent samples, paired samples.

2. Analysis of variance: single factor, multi-factor and covariance analysis.

3. nonparametric test: X2, binomial distribution and K-S test.

4. Correlation analysis and linear regression analysis.

5. Cluster analysis.

6. Factor analysis.

7. Reliability analysis. The above contents are often used, especially correlation analysis and linear regression analysis.
