Recently, the National Natural Science Foundation of China issued the Decision on Handling Misconduct Cases Investigated in 20021(the fourth batch). Zhong, a doctoral supervisor of Central South University, plagiarized his papers and used others' signatures without permission. After investigation, the first author, Zhong, refused the paper as a reviewer, published it after a slight modification, and used the signature of others without permission. In addition, Zhong also included this paper in the final report of the National Natural Science Foundation project he presided over (approval number 5 14055 15). According to the relevant regulations, the National Natural Science Foundation of China cancelled Zhong's NSFC project, recovered the allocated funds, cancelled Zhong's five-year (202 1 10 to 2026 18) NSFC project application qualification, and awarded Zhong informed criticism.
