Jia Suotang's Scientific Research Achievements
Professor Jia Suotang has been engaged in laser spectroscopy and quantum optics for a long time. He is the leader of the innovation team of atomic and molecular physics in Shanxi Province. He has successively presided over 32 national 973 projects, key projects of National Natural Science Foundation and "863" military research projects, and published more than 80 papers/kloc-0. Won the first prize of natural science and the first prize of invention in Shanxi Province. Main research in recent years: 1) The physical research of ultracold atoms and molecules has been carried out, and the experimental platform of ultracold atoms and molecules has been established first in China, and some progress has been made in the preparation of ultracold homonuclear molecules and heteronuclear molecules, accurate spectral measurement of ultracold molecules and quantum state manipulation of ultracold protomolecules. 2) We have done special work in single molecule preparation, spectrum and quantum state manipulation; 3) The precision spectroscopy technology developed by basic research has been applied to pollution gas measurement and coal quality detection, and many invention patents 10 have been obtained.

Major achievements

He has been engaged in basic research and applied research of laser spectroscopy, nonlinear optics and quantum information for many years. The main results are as follows: In the study of stimulated emission of potassium molecule in high excited state, the system of potassium molecule and potassium atom is studied in detail and systematically. The broadband stimulated emission of potassium molecule from high excited state triplet to ground state triplet and singlet to ground state dissociation limit is observed for the first time in the world, and the dynamic theoretical models of various excitation mechanisms are put forward, and the experimental results are explained reasonably. The related results were published in China Science A and Journal of Physics. In the study of transmission and reflection spectra of atomic vapor films, the methods of low-frequency wavelength modulation excitation laser and high-order harmonic detection are proposed and adopted, and the "innovative" results with high sensitivity and high resolution are obtained. The related research results have been published in Applied Optics, and the research has been applied for national utility model patents and invention patents. The application of laser spectroscopy in gas remote sensing detection, high-sensitivity gas measurement and laser spectroscopy in medicine, biology and other fields has broadened the application field of laser spectroscopy technology and won the support of the national 973 pre-research project; Since 1995, theoretical and experimental research on gas film information storage and extraction has been carried out. The electromagnetically induced transparency of cesium atom V-type three-level system has been completed in the previous work, and the absorption and dispersion signals of the system have been measured. The single-beam transmission spectrum in the vapor film of cesium atom is studied, and the fine structure of cesium atom is obtained, which realizes the one-dimensional cooling of cesium atom. Related research results have been published in Applied Physics B and Applied Physics.

Published papers

More than 80 academic papers have been published in international important academic journals and domestic core journals, of which more than 40 papers have been included by SCI, EI and ISTP. Won two national patents, 1998 won the Shanxi Youth Science and Technology Award, and was awarded the honorary title of "Shanxi Youth Science and Technology Expert". 1997, 200 1 won the second prize of Shanxi Science and Technology Progress respectively.

Since 1995, he has presided over 16 scientific research projects, including 3 national natural science foundations, 1 national 973 preliminary research project 1 and 2 provincial and ministerial projects1. There are 2 national natural science foundations, 1 national top 973 research projects and 4 provincial and ministerial projects under research. The research contents include the nonlinear laser spectrum of cesium atomic vapor and the low-frequency modulation laser spectrum technology with high sensitivity and high resolution, the nonlinear optical effect of vibrating vapor thin films, and the storage characteristics of quantum information in hot atoms and thin films. These studies have laid a foundation for the storage and extraction of optical pulse information, and are of great significance to basic research such as nonlinear optics and quantum optics, and applied research fields such as optical quantum communication and quantum devices.
