Literature can be put into the text in various ways, but it must be specific and meaningful.
Generally speaking, according to the content to be emphasized, the document can appear after the quoted content or after the author's name. For example:
1) starfish fertilization is species-specific (17).
2)Peterson (17) reported that starfish fertilization has species specificity.
Label description:
Don't put the literature in the middle of a content or after the general information of a research.
For example, in a current study (16), protein expressed by Epstein-Barr virus can be divided into three categories according to its dynamics and synthesis requirements.
Protein expressed by Epstein-Barr virus is divided into three categories (16) according to its dynamics and synthesis requirements.
Literature doesn't have to be at the end of a sentence. In order to distinguish the author's research from other people's research, the literature should be placed behind the corresponding research results, not the whole research.
For example, mo+pyf 10 1 m-mulv used in this study was obtained from the supernatant of virus-infected 25-3 cell line (3).
It should be revised as follows: the heat +pyf 10 1 m-muly (3) used in this study comes from the supernatant of 25-3 cell line infected by virus.
