More and more China people want to do business, invest, travel and study in Vietnam. More and more people are learning Vietnamese, and many people want to learn and understand Vietnamese customs. As an important part of customs, traditional festivals can let us know about different aspects of Vietnamese people's material and spiritual life and their rich national culture. In the long process of reproduction, life, labor and communication, the Vietnamese people have also formed a set of their own holiday customs, which have been passed down to this day. In the article "On the Local Characteristics of Vietnamese Traditional Festivals", the author mainly analyzes and discusses many factors such as historical geography, festival activities, religious beliefs, folk customs and so on, and grasps its uniqueness, thus summing up the local characteristics of Vietnamese traditional festivals. In the first chapter, the author summarizes the profound influence of China culture on Vietnam, especially the influence of China culture on traditional festivals in Vietnam. Vietnam is geographically bordered by China and historically ruled by feudal China. After Vietnam broke away from China's feudal rule, its rulers still followed the Chinese feudal management system, promoted Chinese culture and celebrated traditional festivals of the Han nationality, making their traditional festivals have many characteristics of traditional festivals in China. In the second chapter, the author discusses the characteristics of Vietnamese traditional festivals with distinctive tropical agricultural culture characteristics. Vietnam is located in the tropical region, and rice has been the main crop for thousands of years, so rice plays a vital role in the hearts of Vietnamese people, and its holiday customs fully reflect this. According to the legend of Vietnamese making square zongzi and zongzi during the New Year, the groundbreaking ceremony at the beginning of the year, and the customs and taboos in other festivals, the author draws the views in this chapter. The third chapter describes that traditional festivals in Vietnam are influenced by Buddhist thought. The author mainly introduces Shangyuan Festival and Zhongyuan Festival in Vietnam, which are two festivals with universal nature and completely in the Buddhist sense. On the Lantern Festival, Vietnamese people don't eat Yuanxiao, glutinous rice balls and lanterns like China people, but go to the temple to worship Buddha and pray. On the Mid-Autumn Festival, Vietnamese also call it the Menglan Sutra Festival. They also went to the temple to pray for the dead, burn incense and recite scriptures, thinking that the dead would turn over. In addition, many customs of other festivals are influenced by Buddhist thought. In the fourth chapter, the article summarizes the strong ancestor worship characteristics of Vietnamese festivals from the customs of ancestor worship, grave sweeping and avoiding the names of ancestors and elders mentioned by future generations. On festivals, people's etiquette to their elders and teachers reflects their fine tradition of respecting their elders. In the fifth chapter, the author puts forward the view that Vietnamese children are an important role that cannot be ignored in festivals. Mainly through expounding the particularity of Mid-Autumn Festival in Vietnam-this is a grand and grand traditional festival specially prepared for children. In addition, people also have many customs and activities on other festivals, showing their love and attention to children. It can be found that the theme of loving children is also a prominent feature of traditional Vietnamese festivals. The sixth chapter mainly describes that Vietnamese attach great importance to their traditional culture, but in what they consider to be pure national culture, a considerable part of it is Han culture introduced from China, which is also reflected in some customs of their traditional festivals. Bibliography [3] focuses on the family sacrifice customs in traditional festivals in Vietnam, such as offerings, methods and objects. Bibliography [4] and [5] are foreign students' textbooks of Da Nang Normal University in Vietnam and Humanities and Social Sciences University affiliated to Ho Chi Minh City National University in Vietnam, respectively. If the bibliographies [1], [2] and [3] only introduce traditional festivals in Vietnam in detail, then the bibliographies [4] and [5] introduce festivals in general, mainly combining many cultural factors such as history, geography, religion, worship and living habits, and introducing Vietnamese festivals from the perspective of Vietnamese culture. The opinions put forward by the author are basically from the first five books. After summarizing and comparing their unique holiday customs, the author draws its local characteristics. Bibliography [6] and [7] mainly provide some reference materials for the author, such as population, division of historical dynasties, the relationship between Vietnam and China in history, and the feudal rule system of Vietnam. This enables the author to better understand the relationship between the development of Vietnamese history and its festivals, and discover its local characteristics in combination with other factors. In addition to referring to the above bibliography, the author also pays attention to accumulating this knowledge in the process of learning Vietnamese and interacting with Vietnamese. Before coming to Vietnam, the author began to learn a lot about Vietnamese festivals and customs in the class of Pan Shi Chaling, a Vietnamese teacher. From February to July, 2004, the author studied Vietnamese in Da Nang Normal University, Vietnam. During this period, two courses were offered: Vietnamese culture and Vietnamese history. Teacher Ruan's humorous explanation made the author more interested in Vietnamese festivals and customs. During my study in Vietnam, I often communicate with our students and local residents to learn about holiday customs. After returning to China, I continued to learn Vietnamese, and learned more knowledge in the process of reading newspapers, listening to radio and browsing Vietnamese websites. In the process of writing the paper, the author encountered some problems, so he asked Vietnamese students or sent an email to Vietnamese teachers for advice, thus completing the writing of the paper.
