According to the statistics of 20 10, the college has 36 faculty members (including foreign teachers). There are 6 teachers in the subject group of Chinese and foreign literature and culture, including 4 associate professors and 2 lecturers; All the members have master's degree or above, and 4 teachers have doctoral degrees. There are 6 Chinese and foreign teachers in the foreign language discipline group, including 3 Chinese teachers and 3 foreign teachers. All teachers have master's degrees or above. There are 12 full-time teachers in linguistics and applied linguistics. The teaching and research team leader is Associate Professor Hong Hai M. Our research group mainly undertakes the teaching and research work of Chinese as a foreign language major and Chinese language (business Chinese direction) language courses in our college. Based on the professional needs of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, professional courses such as modern Chinese, introduction to linguistics, ancient Chinese, general theory of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, teaching method of Chinese as a foreign language, cultural linguistics, applied linguistics, grammar of Chinese as a foreign language, etc. At the same time, it also undertakes graduation thesis, academic thesis, professional practice, various language knowledge competitions, Putonghua promotion, teaching Chinese as a foreign language and so on. Focusing on the talent training objectives of schools and colleges, the teaching and research group has continuously deepened the teaching reform, actively explored teaching methods and models that are convenient for students to accept and adapt to the needs of modern teaching, and obtained a number of school-level teaching reform projects.

The research group often organizes various teaching and research activities, and constantly improves the overall quality and teaching level of the members of the teaching and research group through mutual lectures, observation classes, collective discussions and seminars, which has played an important role in the construction of Chinese as a foreign language specialty.

Chinese and foreign literature and cultural disciplines mainly undertake ancient literature in China, modern and contemporary literature in China, general theory of China culture and cultural anthropology. Overseas Chinese and teaching of historical position, modern art appreciation, intangible cultural heritage, China's novel appreciation, China's poetry appreciation, foreign literature history. The team leader is Xuan Bingshan.

Chinese and foreign literature and culture disciplines include the school-level bilingual course "Foreign Cultural Exchange" and so on.

Members: There are 6 Chinese and foreign teachers in Guo Jianling, Guo Jianbo, Li Liang, Wang Xiao and Zheng Song, including 3 teachers from China and 3 foreign teachers. All teachers have master's degrees or above, and the leader of the teaching and research group is Hu Xueying. It is mainly responsible for the teaching and research of foreign language courses in our college, offering courses such as comprehensive English, English-Chinese translation, second language acquisition, cross-cultural communication, oral English, English listening, etc., and also undertaking various training tasks such as English competitions and competition counseling for students in our college.

Our research group has a strong teaching theory and professional level. Focusing on the talent training objectives of schools and colleges, we will continue to deepen teaching reform, actively explore applicable teaching methods and models, closely combine teaching content with students' learning needs and professional ability training, and attach importance to the teaching of basic language knowledge and the cultivation of cooperative learning ability, inquiry ability, application ability, critical thinking ability and innovation ability. All teachers are determined to forge ahead, dare to innovate, break the textbooks and the original teaching system, expand the teaching content flexibly and diversely, boldly try new teaching methods, actively explore the "student-centered" teaching mode, and highlight the cultivation of students' bilingual and bicultural abilities. With the continuous improvement of teaching quality, students have achieved excellent results in CET-4 and CET-6 and postgraduate English exams over the years. Two students entered the rematch of Zhejiang CCTV Cup National College Students' English Speech Competition, six students won the first, second and third prizes in the National College Students' English Proficiency Competition, eight students won the first and second prizes in national english contest for college students, and 1 student won the first prize in the 2008 Zhejiang University Finals Foreign Newspaper Information Collection and Decoding Invitational Competition.

Discipline groups pay attention to their own construction, strengthen teaching and research, and the teaching and research activities are planned, informative and effective. Teachers' overall professional quality and teaching level are constantly improved through various activities such as class observation, collective evaluation and academic report meeting. While undertaking heavy teaching work, I also actively carried out scientific research and teaching reform, constantly explored innovative teaching ideas and methods, and played an active role in running characteristic colleges and specialties.
