Brief introduction of Zhang Xingjiu
Zhang Xingjiu, born in 1956, is the vice president, professor and doctoral supervisor of School of Politics and Public Administration of Wuhan University, and the counselor of Hubei Provincial Government Counselor's Office. He received a master's degree in history and a doctor's degree in law. 1994- 1995, visiting researcher at Japan's Tongshe University and visiting researcher at Soka University in Japan in 2005-2006. Mainly engaged in political system, political culture research and comparative study of Chinese and western political governance concepts. His major works include Taiwan Province's Political Situation, A Review of China's Modern Political Thought, A New History of China's Political System, On Political Subjects, History of China's Political Thought (Modern Part) and so on. He also served as the editor-in-chief of the second edition of Encyclopedia of Chinese Political System, and published a series of papers on political system and political culture. It has a wide influence in domestic academic circles, and is also a popular teacher among students in Wuhan University and universities in Wuhan. He was commended by Wuhan University for his outstanding achievements in teaching and scientific research, and once won the Top Ten Teachers' Morality Model of Wuhan University.
