This paper makes a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the "cultural imperialism" in the world film and television, especially the "cultural imperialism" in the American film and television. This paper holds that the "cultural imperialism" of American film and television is embodied in the cultural form: first, the fundamental deviation of understanding the essence of film and television leads to the economic dominance of American film and television; Second, the obsession of turning high technology into human totem has led to the misunderstanding of American film and television abuse skills; Third, the envy of the long history and culture has led to the extreme desire for expansion of American film and television.
In view of the increasing globalization of American film and television "cultural imperialism", this paper not only discusses the theory of "cultural rebound" first put forward by France, but also analyzes and studies the influence of "cultural rebound" theory in the film and television industry, especially in China.
