The difference between geisha and maiko
Different meanings, different jobs.

1, geisha refers to well-trained, highly skilled in dancing, singing, tea ceremony, flower arrangement, and very elegant and dignified women. Maiko refers to young women who are still receiving training and have not officially become geisha.

2. Geisha is a full-time job, mainly working in high-end restaurants or teahouses, providing song and dance performances and accompanying wine services for guests. Maiko dances for guests at banquets and sometimes works in teahouses or kiosks.
