[Abstract]19491-During February, when the China Revolution was about to win an all-round victory, the Soviet Embassy in China surprised the international community and the people of China and followed the fleeing Kuomintang government from Nanjing to Guangzhou. The real intention of the Soviet Embassy in China to leave Nanjing is the focus of historians' long-term concern, and it is also the basis for some research results to prove that the Soviet Union and Stalin themselves doubt the China Revolution. The article holds that the withdrawal of the Soviet Embassy in China is the inevitable result of the dual policy towards China adopted by the Soviet Union in history, which is neither a misjudgment of China's revolutionary process nor the Soviet Union's insistence on the principle of non-interference in China's internal affairs. On the contrary, when ideology (revolutionary interests) conflicts with national interests, the Soviet Union first chooses its own national interests. The evacuation of the Soviet Embassy in China before the founding of New China was in line with the national interests of the Soviet Union and protected the political and economic interests of the Soviet Union in China to the maximum extent. Objectively speaking, it is understandable that the Soviet embassy in China was evacuated from Nanjing to Guangzhou as a diplomatic means to defend national interests, but it is obviously inappropriate to proceed from the revolutionary interests of the United States and China.

1949-1-during February, the China revolution was about to win completely, and the Soviet embassy in China moved to Guangzhou with the fleeing Kuomintang government. The Soviet Union's actions not only surprised and puzzled the international community and the people of China, but also embarrassed the producers in China. There is no special research on this issue in domestic historians, but the evacuation of the embassy is mentioned in other related research results. A representative point of view is that the Soviet Union's approach is to take the victory of China's war of liberation with a grain of salt, think too much about the armed intervention of the United States, and try to keep stepping on two boats between the two parties; Another opposite view is that the withdrawal of the Soviet embassy in China from Nanjing can greatly reduce the diplomatic disputes of the PLA crossing the river. 1 Russian historians haven't studied this problem for a long time. The reason is that Russian scholars think that the evacuation of the Soviet Embassy in China is a normal diplomatic action, and they know little about China's views on this issue. They just made a basic statement of the above events from different angles in the memories of the parties. The Soviet embassy in China followed the Kuomintang government to evacuate from Nanjing to Guangzhou. Although the situation involved is very complicated, what is the root cause? Is it because you really don't understand the development of the situation and don't believe that the China revolution will eventually win a fundamental victory, or do you have other considerations? After the formal establishment of diplomatic relations between the Soviet Union and People's Republic of China (PRC), what was the fate of its embassy staff in Guangzhou? This paper discusses this issue according to the memories of relevant Russian parties and some Russian declassified files.
