He is currently a member of China Gongbi Painting Association, China Association for Promoting Democracy, director of China Calligraphers Association, member of China Painters Association, deputy secretary-general of Shaoyang Calligraphers Association and director of academic theory department, member of the presidium of Artists Association, executive director and chairman of Shaoyang Hard Pen Calligraphers Association. In 2007, he graduated from the advanced seminar of landscape painting major of China Academy of Fine Arts. In 2009, he was admitted to Fanyang Studio of China National Painting Academy and Rong Baozhai Painting Academy. In 2009 1 month, Shaoyang Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Shaoyang Artists Association held Hu Jianguo's personal landscape painting exhibition in Shaoyang Good Time Art Museum (now Art Family Art Museum). 20 10 participated in the China 20 10 meticulous painting exhibition in June, and was elected as a reporter in Shaoyang, Hunan Province in 2009. In July 2009, his works were collected by Hunan Provincial Museum of Traditional Chinese Painting.
