Brief introduction of Kohlberg's theory of moral development stage
1. Theoretical exposition

On the basis of Piaget's research, Kohlberg divides the stages of moral development into three levels by using the moral dilemma story method (Heinz stealing drugs): pre-customization level, customization level and post-customization level.

Before 1), at the custom level, there were moral requirements for right and wrong, good and evil, but right and wrong were judged mainly from the result of behavior and its own strong relationship.

2) Custom level: follow moral standards and social customs, and pay attention to the position and role of individuals in social needs and values.

3) Post-customization level: beyond the constraints of realistic moral norms, to achieve the realm of complete self-discipline. When people are faced with moral situations, they can make moral judgments based on their own conscience and personal values, and may not be restricted by traditional customs or social rules.

Each level is divided into two stages, ***6 stages. The following table shows the characteristics of each stage.

The first column of the table is rank, the second column is stage, the third column is the core meaning of each stage, and the fourth column is an example to help understand.
