Professional Introduction: It is one of the first 13 Spanish majors established in China, a national major of the Ministry of Education and one of the five Spanish majors in China, aiming at cultivating compound talents with solid foreign language foundation and strong comprehensive ability. This major has a team of teachers with rich teaching experience, more than 70% of whom have technical secondary school titles or above, doctors or doctors are studying, and their academic qualifications and subject background are among the best in the country.

Core courses: intensive reading, extensive reading, listening, audio-visual speaking, newspaper reading, oral and translation practice, Spain and Latin America. In addition, it also offers professional courses such as TV news, practical writing, thesis writing, general linguistics, Spanish rhetoric, Spanish economic and trade practice, selected reading of Spanish and Latin American literature, history and culture of Spanish-speaking countries, politics and economy of Spanish-speaking countries, and history and culture of China.

Professional characteristics: National professional construction point, emphasizing the teaching and practice of interpretation, and paying attention to the comprehensive cultivation of primary language foundation and advanced humanistic quality. We have maintained long-term student and academic exchanges with many universities in Spain and Latin America, including Santiago de Compostela University in Spain, burgos University, Navarra Public University, Bishop University of Salamanca, Leó n University, Mataro-Maresme University of Science and Technology, Piura University in Peru and Setis University in Mexico. Students can also apply to the National Scholarship Committee for government exchange scholarships. The department has established practice bases with the National Friendship Association, FLTRP and other units, and maintained close cooperation with Beijing Gucheng Middle School, China International Travel Service, Spanish Chamber of Commerce and other units, providing students with sufficient professional practice opportunities.
