Before using Latex, we usually borrow the existing paper template, add our own article content on the basis of the template, and then compile it into a PDF file. The basic process is: latex->; bibtex-& gt; latext-& gt; Latex.
1. The first step is to click Latex to compile, and you can get *. Supporting documents. Dvi file, *. Log files and *. Gz file;
2. Click Bibtex to compile in the second step, and you can get *. Blg (performance monitor file) and *. Bbl file;
3. Step 3, click Latex to compile again and get new *. Supporting documents. Dvi file, *. Log files and *. Gz file;
4. Step 4 Click Latex to compile again.
At this point, you can successfully view the compiled document through the DVI preview tool.
So what kind of problems are most likely to be encountered in this process? Is the common second step: when compiling Bibtex, you get *. The bbl file is empty or has no reference, as shown below:
\begin{thebibliography}{}
\end{thebibliography}
If you get *. Bbl is the above content, then Latex compilation will go wrong, and the error message is as follows: (. \.\.\*.bbl! LaTeX error: There is a problem-it may be missing \ items.
This is because the sentence \ bibitem {} is missing from our *. Bbl file, then how can this sentence appear? Of course, you can add this sentence manually!
* List of articles cited in. The bbl file is empty, so how to correct this error? Just add the sentence \cite{} anywhere in the text, then delete the generated bbl file, and recompile the tex document according to the above four steps, and you can get the following *. Barrel:
\ begin {biogeography }{2}
\ Bibi item { XXX } \ end { the bibliography }
At this point, when you compile latex again, the error will be eliminated. Check the compilation steps carefully.
