Working principle of scroll compressor
Scroll compressor is a positive displacement compressor, and its structure is shown in Figure 5- 14. Its working chamber is formed by meshing two eddy currents of rotor and stator. A plurality of compression chambers are formed by the meshing of the scroll rotor and the scroll stator. With the translation and rotation of the rotor, the volume in each compression chamber is constantly changing, and gas can be sucked and compressed.

In the scroll compressor, because there is no clearance volume, there is no expansion process of gas, which effectively improves the volumetric efficiency. At the same time, the suction and compression exhaust processes are carried out in multiple scroll chambers, which effectively realizes stable gas transportation and reduces the pulsation loss of gas transportation. The flow loss in the thermal process is also much less than that of reciprocating and rolling rotor compressors.
