1983 graduated from the Chinese Department of the Central University for Nationalities and joined CCTV in the same year; 1992, successively served as deputy director of special department of CCTV, director of documentary room, deputy director of international department, director of youth department, director of social education program center of CCTV, and deputy director and secretary general of China Television Art Committee; In 2005, he received his Ph.D. degree from School of Art and Media, Beijing Normal University; He is currently the deputy director of CCTV. He used to be the chairman and president of the Central New Film Group.
