At the award ceremony, Zhang Yimou and Li presented awards for the best film as the awarding guests, showing their expectation for the classic inheritance of the Temple of Heaven Award. In the end, the honor of the best film award was won by A Blind Man who didn't want to watch the excitement. Sylvain Hillman won the Best Photography Award, presented by directors Malcolm Clarke and Chen Jiashang.

Adhering to the concept of "harmony between man and nature, beauty", the Tiantan Award of Beijing International Film Festival invited seven heavyweight Chinese and foreign guests as judges. The number of short-listed films in the world has reached 1450, of which 1 193 are foreign films from 88 countries and regions, setting a record high, which reflects the pluralistic integration of Beijing International Film Festival.

In cooperation with the short film specially made by the organizing committee for Li, the chairman of the jury, actor He Bing, host Nigmat, host Lan Yu, Jiao's grandson and audience representatives sang "Want to Sing Me to You" together, and Chen presented Li with the commemorative trophy of Beijing International Film Festival as a token of his respect.
