Personal profile of Chu
Born in Yuexi, Anhui Province, 1966. 1999 was selected into the "Hundred Talents Program" of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to introduce foreign talents. In 2004, he was selected as the first batch of national candidates for the 100 million talents project in the new century. In 2006, it was approved by the State Council to enjoy special government allowance, and in 2008, it was awarded the National Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He is currently the head of the research group of the State Key Laboratory of Plant Genomics, secretary of the board of directors, assistant to the director and project scientist of the National Plant Gene Research Center (Beijing), and deputy director of Jiaxing Crop High-tech Breeding Center of the Institute of Genetics and Development of China Academy of Sciences. At the same time, he is a professor at the Graduate School of China Academy of Sciences, a researcher at the Rice Research Institute of China Academy of Agricultural Sciences, an adjunct professor at Nanjing University and Beijing Normal University, a member of the International Society of Tissue Culture and Biotechnology, a member of the American Plant Physiology Society, a member of the Seventh Council of the Chinese Genetic Society, a member of the International Exchange Committee of the Chinese Genetic Society, and a member of the Professional Committee of Plant Tissue Culture and Biotechnology of the China Plant Physiology Society.
