Beijing No.19 Middle School (No.83 Wanquanhe Road, Haidian District) is located in the construction and development center of Haidian Science Park, separated from Ximen No.1 Road of Renmin University and adjacent to the Northwest Third Ring Road. The school covers an area of about 75 mu (50,000 square meters) and has a standard 400-meter plastic playground. At present, due to the bid for "Beijing Demonstration High School", the school is carrying out hardware transformation and construction projects inside the campus. This project started at the end of 2003, and Haidian District government lent money to build new modern teaching facilities for the school, such as teaching building, experimental building, gymnasium and modern educational technology center building. The new teaching building is scheduled to be completed in July 2004, and other buildings will be completed in 2005. In order not to affect students' study and life during the large-scale renovation of the school teaching environment, the District Education Commission allocated the new campus of No.19 Middle School (Yangchun Guanghua Campus).
