Chen Qiucao,1906.02.17-1988.05.23, the word autumn grass,No. Plough Frost, Shizhai, the house of the wind. Originally from Yinxian County, Zhejiang Province, he was born in Shanghai. When I was a teenager, I studied in Shanghai Wanzhu Primary School and Wanzhu B Business School. 1925 graduated from Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts. He once worked as a subtitle decorative painting for Shanghai Star Film Company, and later worked as a stylist in Shanghai Marble Factory. 1928, organized the White Goose Painting Society with Pan Sitong and Fang Xueqi, and founded the White Goose Painting Academy. 1934 changed its name to White Goose Painting Tutoring School, and served as the editor-in-chief of the fine arts magazine of Liangyou Book Company. Editors include White Goose Yearbook, Beauty of Decoration and White Goose Pictorial. After 1936, he devoted himself to the research and creation of traditional paintings in China. Cao Jin Society was founded in 1945 and joined Shanghai Fine Arts Writers Association after 1946. 1950 participated in the work of the Art Department of the Ministry of Culture of East China Military and Political Commission. 1954 Director of Shanghai Arts and Crafts Supply Society, founded New China Academy of Fine Arts. 1955 Minister of Exhibition Department of China Artists Association and curator of Shanghai Art Museum. He was elected as a member of the All-China Artists Association. The second, third and fourth directors of China Artists Association, executive director and deputy secretary-general of Shanghai Branch of Artists Association, member of Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and representative of the Municipal People's Congress. In his early years, he was good at painting western paintings in pictures, and later he was good at Chinese paintings. His works include the Chinese painting "Castle Peak Everywhere"; The caged bird is in Shanghai Museum; Heaven is in sight, hidden in the Great Hall of the People. Many works are collected by China Art Museum and museums around the world. The illustration "Little Tadpole Looking for Mom" won the Nama Award of Asian Cultural Center of UNESCO. In his early years, he held many solo exhibitions. 1984 and 1987 held solo exhibitions in Shanghai Art Museum and China Art Museum respectively. Published pastel paintings, sketches, flowers and small landscapes, autumn grass paintings, autumn grass flowers, small paintings and so on.
