Born in Hubei, Zhang Kai Zhang Kai is the hero who led Dongguan team to win the CBA championship in the new century from the second division. He has fast speed on the court, excellent bounce, strong rebounding and blocking ability, strong internal and external offensive ability, accurate shooting in the middle and near period and outstanding passing consciousness. In CBA, Zhang Kai has the reputation of Garnett in China. In 2008, he was selected to participate in the trial training of the NBA Kings. On October 8th, 65438/KLOC-0, in the NBA preseason game between Kings and Trailblazers, Zhang Kai, who tried out Kings, made an "unexpected" appearance at the last minute. In the playing time of 2 minutes and 58 seconds, Zhang Kai only got one frontcourt rebound, but this has made him the first Wuhan man to play in the NBA.

1995 entered Wuhan Sports School.

1998 Join the Hubei Provincial Team.

On July 15, 2002, Zhang Kai's mother died in a car accident on the way to deliver soup to her son who was training in the provincial team. From then on, Zhang Kai practiced harder.

Joined CBA Dongguan New Century Team in 2003.

In 2008, he joined the national training team and tried out the NBA Kings.
